General Discussion / Re: Resolutions
« on: February 03, 2021, 08:50:36 PM »
Well looking at the replies on the link in mallard post......the hypocrisy from owners/chairman is what clouds the whole issue.......why do Darlington Fc quote player staff safety as their main concern when they're quite prepared to play an FA Trophy match with no testing........but not a league match???
Surely unsafe is unsafe......no matter what the name of the competition, no matter where your standing is in the league and no matter what your financial situation is.... :dontknow:

Looking at them choices then I would hazard a guess that....the national league will continue and north and south will end.... :dontknow:

It is a farce....I agree....I thought last season to end a season with ppg was a farce....but funnily enough....Cleeve wanted that. I wonder if they would be of the same opinion now if they were currently sitting top of the league though.

Wont need to finish the season....once they get to a position that ppg can be used....that rule will be used and season will finish....if the current health situation remains....it will then allow seasons to.finish early.....and give the board a few months of crossing fingers...kneeling and praying....holding on to good luck charms...and hope the new season can start on time.... :dontknow:

Well Mr Cleeve said on his podcast if it was £50k a month they'd find the difference but if it was as low as £20K they would not be able to cope... :dontknow:
Guessing someone may not be very happy at the figures suggested..

Sounds good but...never gonna happen. Too much money involved. And where there's bucket loads of money there are snouts in the trough......and that trough runs to people who will stop any sort of reform that causes them personally.....(sod the beautiful game and its loyal supporters) to lose money.
I hope I am wrong but the wealthiest among us have proven during a pandemic how they think they're above following the rules and doing what we all have to do, they've proven during a pandemic they'll stoop to any depths to line their and their mates pockets and any sort of hopeful empathy from them towards the beautiful game and its supporters is just pie in the sky.

Presumably not so easy to find people willing to go and pull the covers on, this time around !!

First team Squad looking to preserve their income, and help the Club at the same time?

Under 21's, Ladies etc.

If the Club  wanted the game on, and if its off due to the covers not being used, I would think there's more than enough people to help if they are asked.

 :dontknow:

I seem to recall there were several players from the ladies team available to sell programmes at the Torquay game......or am I being cynical??

Feb could be very interesting....lynn scheduled to play Barnet, Weymouth and Dover...a bunch of so called 6 pointers there.
That's if they go ahead....the chairman reckoned on his podcast that after Wrexham he foresees that being it.......but then he did say just him and the covid officer were the only two travelling to dagenham......so he has been.known to be wrong....oh and btw...
NO....I'M SPARTACUS

Just listened to SCís latest podcast.  His feeling is that we will play Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday. Then that will be it unless someone comes up with some money to get the League through to the end of the season.

Yeah well...he also said in a previous podcast that Boris would be gone in January...and that it came from a good source....not many days left on that prediction
