Would go for your line up Tony, but with Southwell and Mitchell for Carey and Kelly.

Notts County feel they have kept a tight ship with regular testing and adhering to strict guidelines but..one of their recent NL opponents had a player who tested positive some time after the match.
The County player he was marking subsequently tested positive for Covid and was the first such result at County.....now of course there are a number of others.

Possibly.......I personally always felt Ryan Hawkins had the ability to play at a good level....when given the chance he often produced and was a fairly regular scorer...still think at this level he was a useful squad player, if not a starter.......and perhaps a little unlucky to currently be behind the likes of Loza, Kelly and Power who have the pedigree, but also still have to produce at this level.

Oh dear another one of those ..."I think I know something you don't, so I will leave you hanging " posts.....how tedious, I thought we had seen the end of those.

General Discussion / Re: Grant money coming through next week

I suppose promoted clubs will argue that they were waiting to see what they need for the league and would have made signings to try and survive anyway.
Lynn could probably argue that Hendo and Ward were in the squad pre season having signed new contracts and then decided to leave, so McFadden and the possible Dartford forward are only bringing numbers back up to that level.

As B & G has mentioned the real issue is that the money should be coming from within football...theres so much sloshing around........ there are better things to do with tax payers money currently than giving football clubs enhanced profits.

I have to say that it seems ridiculous and I agree with the sentiments on here.......and I still don't see why the higher clubs get richer and the lower divi clubs, relatively poorer....but it mirrors what the gvnmt has done when supporting individuals.
To my way of thinking in a crisis like this all people should get is enough to tread water and survive..and when it becomes that basic, the sum each person/club requires should be calculated to be the same or very similar.
I feel the NL should have come up with a figure based on average running costs for an average team in each league and paid just that......anyone whose running costs are too high then needs to make savings or fund the excess themselves.

Not only are the government distributions unfair and somewhat haphazard, they are also unnecessarily costly where the top end payments arise.

Could it be that they have calculated an average attendance for the National League as a whole, say based on last years figures and then calculated a combined average attendance for NN and NS.
Comparing the two figures gave a ratio of 84:30, so they apportion the money in that way, after adjusting the figs slightly for former league clubs ?

General Discussion / Re: Away vs Weymouth (17th October)

It's just not good enough at this level....just not professional enough all over the pitch........and I think it is a real eye opener for some of the squad which is why it is taking a while to adjust. However, Lynn can't afford much longer for people to catch up. I wonder if either of the centre halves are currently good enough for this level, in terms of strength, speed, discipline and nous.
I think this performance will hurt IC the most..... it's one thing to be outclassed by seasoned pros, but when you come up against a side weaker than you, who are yet to score this season and have only one point from 4 games and you have the better of the match, the chance to kill it off and take 3 points and you end up throwing it away  with indiscipline and poor defensive work.....well that is something else.

Goodness, what a poor run of 3 games !
These games against teams that have come up are games Lynn have to get something from if they are to stay in this league......what an appalling last 10/15 minutes......miss a pen, get sent off for indiscipline, give a handball and the game away and then have 3 more booked...dear oh dear oh dear.. ...

I am sure they would.....but as far as I am aware they wouldn't get free admission to Cup games normally.
I am not sure the club is able to offer such handouts as it still hasn't had any government money and still doesn't know what it might get.
Maybe if the Gvnmt support money is decent then the club might be in a position to do something going forward....at the moment tho I would think it's still about survival

Yes hopefully, and if not one would expect a large take up on the stream.

Guess we will know pretty soon who is considered number 1 and who is understudy.

Thing is which keeper is most likely to be here long term and which one could be recalled during a season.
Which one is familiar with his defence ?
I just see it as a risky move effectively promoting Mair over Street.... and doing it so soon. I am sure Street wants to play every week.......if he ends up leaving mid season to do just that, we have a loanee in goal with Bazza as backup and if the loanee should get injured, recalled or called up by Scotland U21's then I guess Bazza is the man !
