Stan, your 50 is for something similar to a Monty Python sketch, but is actually different. I hadn't seen the sketch in question, but have just watched on youtube.
Think it's a sketch "traditionally associated with four legs "(remember the Moore/Cooke sketch) and Stan is convinced we are only two legs ie we are deficient in the leg department, for the sketch, to the tune of two. . ..we therefore need two more legs...maybe Stan or Marcus could provide the other two...we/I of course get first dibs and go second, with the large fish. :laughcry: :laughcry: :laughcry:

Re the pundits.....do most of them (the odd exception, granted), really add value or "expert knowledge" to the programme
The Hansen's ("never win anything with kids"), Shearers, Linekers, Savages and Suttons of this world probably have or will make as much or more money from punditry, as they did playing the game....how many quid that works out per eloquent word, I dread to think... ..all those"know what I mean"'s and "to be fair"s.
Saint and Greaves were real characters and respected individuals, the current crop aren't in the same league I M O.

Yes Stan, agreed, its been a tough combo, with no let up for some time now. Tremendous effort to rally like that for the Chester game I thought....real shame they couldn't make it thro yesterday, but as you say circumstances made it very tough.

No need to apologise Stan, as I am not the least upset and I am not being cruel, as you well know, just stating facts...if you can't take it then don't make absurd and wholly unsubstantiated accusations about various persons in the first place

Good to see tho , that both sides agreed to walk off, in the face of what was going on

Don't think personally, I would attribute not getting through to the luck of the draw. The first round qual draw v Alfreton away was a really tough fixture at that stage. The last two rounds have been away, but against lower league opposition...not a bad draw at that stage of the competition.
Boston and Darlington had similar fixtures yesterday and came through, Alty had Southport and York a National Premier side. The Head, had, perhaps a favourable draw.
Be good to get a second centre half back asap. I feel Fryatt , in particular, has been a big miss while out.

Ps Please let's agree to try to make this the last time...it's fun up to a point but not being sure about your identity has a downside...cheers !
He who lives by the sword....Is that a violin I can hear in the background?
Hearing things that don't exist.... thinking things that don't exist...... that's your problem and not anyone elses on this Forum.

Teams through from National North are Altrincham, Boston, Darlington, Gateshead and York.

Seems to show that it's been tough for teams in Lynn's league to get through. Noticeable that these sides have a pedigree at National level and above, can afford decent sized squads and some are full time.

Shame to go out at this stage....squad have done brilliantly up to this point in the season.....I feel sure that with a fully fit squad they would have come away with something....just such a big ask on a small squad.
Great nosh tonight by the way..always enjoy the food most eating alone..we must do it again sometime.. obviously a difficult choice between Farmers Pie, Duck and my preferred dish... kept flitting between the three, not sure why......the indecision made me a bit Grissly to be honest...."Jesus", I said to myself, luckily a calming Rose was available on the wine list, so I turned down a Teacher's and  everything seemed to return to normal. Good performance from York earlier, anyone on here see it ?

It's a bit late to back-track now "Stan", just because someone else has found you out.
Remind us all..how long have you been posting on here as "Stan", rather than your real name...how long ?
You see it's not only an absurd argument it's hypocritical.....you suddenly decide it's time to change the forum rules to suit your stance, because the balance of debate isn't as YOU would like and you start making accusations and telling other forum users how they should behave. It's all a bit weird and misguided...I think Marcus may have touched on something very relevant there
Anyway, a lot more words ...and the final ones from me on this thread.
