I am really enjoying trawling around the various websites for the teams in National North. Many have a couple of 27/28 year old forwards with past league experience. Am thinking that Lynn could do with another body to back up our centre halves.

Surprised we havenít announced at least another signing yet, maybe waiting for that July 1st for a non contracted player or waiting to look at some trialists?

How long before players follow? Will the money be found to fund the major ground improvement?  :dontknow:

Seen 6/7 have left before this was announced including Hoenes, not all right at the club clearly

Iím hoping the U18 team is the team going thru the education system just put into place and we are expecting to have a few break into the first team.

With the promotion the reserve team players are going to struggle to make the grade, potentially looking at getting our better prospects out on loan is a more viable option for development?

Poor of this to be announced after ticket pricing was announced, I wonder how many people wouldnít have purchased a season ticket if they new this?

General Discussion / Dereham

Tomorrow we will be visiting schools in & around Dereham to hand out vouchers for free season tickets for Under 16s. This means that they can attend all @IsthmianLeague fixtures in the 2019-2020 season at no cost when being accompanied by an adult. #coym #wearedereham #dare2

Something Iíve always felt weíve missed out on by not doing it. Get a couple of players in to run a session or two in a school great way to attract people to the club.

Thought Stewart looked out of his depth in the southern central, granted it was under Clark but I would be shocked to see him do anything at this level.

Looks like Ross Barrows is the only one left to make up his mind.

Good work there.  If Barrows signs up thatís a squad of 17. Will that be it or maybe one more to come ?

I think the number thatís been banded round is 5, but with Natty Stewart returning that would leave us very heavy.

Fryatt and McCauley more than capable at this level, however we do need cover with Joe Robinson leaving. I feel a CB with a great turn of pace would be a good signing something both players struggle with at times.

Gris, why donít you just buy a season ticket? Cleeve has posted on Facebook saying a much increased uptake and he says it works out at only 80p per game more than last season.  Surely even you canít moan at this; can you?

Last season because of work I only made four home games and the play offs, made more away games than home games, working on this premise it would equate to £72.50 a game,an increase of £59.50 a game? :bankrupt:

Why is admission price such a concern for you if you struggle to attend games?

Regardless of how many games I attend I am still allowed an opinion on the entry price? :dontknow: :banghead; :banghead;
At no point did I say you couldnít!?!? Merely asked why itís such a focus issue for you?

Season ticket sales already 20% higher than last seasonís total with 2 months still to go - great value with adult seats just £ 13.80 per game a rise of just 80 pence and that does not take into account the free entry for U18ís etc and 10% discount in club shop #greatsupport Via the Chairman.

« on: May 25, 2019, 12:14:29 PM »
On Thursday the 23rd of May, two Trust Directors had a very positive meeting  with Stephen Cleeve to discuss the implementation of the improvements to the ground necessary to meet with the FA Ground Grading Requirements. A rough estimate suggests that these improvements will cost in excess of £30,000.  The priority is the installation of turnstiles in the area to be designated for the segregation of away fans on match days when this is deemed necessary.  The cost of a double turnstile unit is £6,700 plus VAT, plus the costs of installation such as a suitable hard-standing and connection to a mains electricity supply.  It was agreed that the GDF would be used towards the purchase of these turnstiles.  The fund currently stands at £3229.14.  Many,  many thanks to those who have already contributed to this total.  It would be fantastic if this total could be increased  in order to further subsidise the cost of the turnstiles.  To find out more on the GDF and how to donate, click on the thermometer on the home page.

Great work by everyone involved

I will apologise in advance, if I offend anyone.......it is unusual for me to go off on one, but some of this negativity is tedious.....Given grants are available for much of the work it would surely be senseless to spend the money on that. Without someone like SC fans would never get to experience this standard of football and excitement. Left to its own devices the club could probably manage Eastern Counties or a step higher at best..... so if it ever should come crashing down you would be back to that level anyway. Given the amount of time and money the Chairman has put in together with the great efforts from all the people he employs, I really do feel its time for people's fears and anxieties to be put aside while this journey is happening.....just enjoy the fact that Lynn may actually progress and play at a really good level.
It seems to me, some people would be happy with a no risk strategy, play at step 6 in front of 200or 300 and just stagnate for a life time.....enjoy the local derby with Yarmouth and Swaffham and coiff the odd jar at half time, while moaning about everything that could be better and doing damn all about it

That is the scenario for an unprogressive large village/small town team I M O and sadly that reflects the mindset of many in West Norfolk...too afraid to stick their heads above the parapet and get things done and always unsettled by change......not surprised it has taken the energy of a number from outside the area, along with some very good, positive and dedicated local people to get things moving........
