Any groups want to share any transport?
Or any spare seats on coaches (understand club buses full)

General Discussion / Clarke (balance)
« on: January 02, 2019, 09:17:14 AM »
Without any doubt I believe we are in better hands with Ian Culverhouse than we where with Clarke.
However maybe there should be some balance regards Clarkes results and our relative poor start.
Lowestoft result aside, we lost at home to Biggleswade, Stourbridge and away at Kettering.
These are all teams who have proved to be pace setters in the league. Was unfortunate those "big" games so early. At a time when rebuilding.
As I started, glad to have Culverhouse back but on reflection remember we had a tough start to the season.
Now onwards and upwards.

General Discussion / Fans have part to play (from the horses mouth)
« on: November 06, 2018, 10:58:13 AM »
Over the weekend I had the pleasure of talking with one of the main men within the coaching set up.
Not only is there a rallying call from Culverhouse, there is a real genuine request from the players for supporters to raise the volume levels at the walks.
They are aware they need to give fans something to shout about. It is said that the extra 10% gained from the motivation gained from the positive support will drive them to achieve.

For me the Walks used to be a horrible place to come and play. For me it has become to "nice".
In the correct manor lets make the walks a cauldron, support the team, distract the opposition.

See where it takes us.

The picture of Mr Cleeve in the public eye is very ying and yang
Yesterday it was put in the public domain that he has p****d off the B&G trust.
By the end of the day he was acknowledged for good work in securing the services of Ian Culverhouse.

Never a dull day in his world

General Discussion / IAN CULVERHOUSE
« on: November 02, 2018, 08:38:38 AM »
Firstly, well done to Mr Cleeve and Ian Culverhouse for sorting their differences.
Lets hope this all ends well.

As my post yesterday, the team is crying out for a respected manager who knows how he wants to play. Further more is able to drill it into the team for them to carry out his vision.

I don't see players who left us returning on mass. Norman has moved up the ladder, we have new players on contracts in other positions that King and Lappin may have filled. Ward would be good cover as would Siddons. The former would probably be the more likely.

I know Bastock was with Culverhouse at Grantham. I wonder what the plan is with him? A respected man, is he a coach? Does Culverhouse want him as a Lieutenant? Is he part of a Cleeve longer term vision should Culverhouse want to move up the ladder?

Interesting times
Fingers crossed

General Discussion / Management
« on: November 01, 2018, 08:48:04 AM »
I have watched Lynn many times this season. The Back & Fryatt combo is a vast improvement from the early stages of the season. In the main I think its because the players want to play for B&F where as they didn't want to play for Clarke. Or put another way they can play how they want not how the manager wants.
Lynn have very good players. However I think they need more direction as a team. The football last night for instance seemed very off the cuff. Good players trying hard with little cohesion. Too many players on different wave lengths. At times it was similar to last season, trying to play from the back. Then it was long ball. How many times did Street kick long onto their big defenders head? How many times did we try to play football in midfield for us to give it away?
Last term Jarvis and Clunnan were the engine room of the team. 8 out 10 week in week out. This season they are far from that. I don't see it as they have changed that much but those around want to play a different game style.
R&B believed the previous manager over coached. They have definitely taken an opposite approach.
I believe to be as good as our potential the team needs management that can impose a style that fits with all. The team needs to then play as a team to that style. Off the cuff you will win, some lose some.
R&B are doing probably what they can and for some its ok. If we aspire to higher league position I think as fans we need to move aside from the romance of good guys doing their best and get a coach/manager who can be the leader.
In closing, dare I say, a manager like Ian Culverhouse is what we need.
As a foot note, I read on another post of a Culverhouse/Setchell partnership. Jesus! Who would want to be in the middle of that argument?

General Discussion / Clark v player power
« on: September 03, 2018, 07:35:40 PM »
Something needs to be done quickly.
Itís obvious that their is a divide between players and management
Either the players  ( clunan, Jarvis, fryatt) play for the manager or the manager has to be brave enough to drop the players.

Massive call
Massive shame

Treat kids, grand kids, nieces, nephews, their friends,
Youth clubs etc treat the youths. 26quid would get 12 kids in free, thatís a football team
Use imagination you can almost make 13 disappear

General Discussion / Observations
« on: August 28, 2018, 08:32:50 AM »
Due to holiday and work, I have only seen the St Neots game.

I was in the ground early. I saw that the players were put through a good warm up session with the assistants.

To the game, started brightly. An early chance went begging. The football was ok. Direct at times. An early goal was needed to settle the nerves. Frustrating first half, could easily of been 2 up.

Second half camped in st neots half. Late on desperation started to set in as Lynn tried to force it.

Early chances put away, would of been a comfortable win.

In my opinion, watching warm up and then the game. Two or three players of last year, looked edgy. As if their mind was not at the races. Either they are frustrated at performances or dont believe in what asked to do.

I think if could get a home win under the belt a lot of ills would be sorted.

General Discussion / New Season, Lets ..........
« on: August 06, 2018, 04:50:51 PM »
Time for all the negative vibes to be pushed to the side.
Its up to us all to create a positive outlook for KLTFC.
Get the town talking about the football on the pitch. Get the floating supporter through the door.
This could be a big, big season of football. Add to it some tasty local derbies and some big clashes with old foes.
Lets rally. Lets be together. Lets turn the Walks into a noisy, hostile, cauldron.
Lets.......... enjoy it. Have a beer on a Saturday watch the football on offer. With skill and a bit of lady luck, lets see where we end up.
Come on you Linnets
