General Discussion / Re: LN’s on racism claim

The guy should not be charged!
He obviously believed he heard something. When you have been subject to racist abuse previously, you probably become conditioned to take things into your own hands.
An apology and acknowledgement that an error was made should be enough for everyone involved.

General Discussion / Re: Hereford Utd

The Stevenage game was quite rightly hyped and hyped again.
The game v Hereford had little or no promotion.
The 3K floating fans probably had no idea we were at home!
Unless its engrained on your brain, like the 800, unless its sold to you, you wont know if there is a game at home, let alone its a 12.30 KO
Following the hype was massive opportunity to get the crowds rolling, yet there was nothing in the way of promotion following up on the opportunity presented. Even more promo was needed as we had world cup competition.
12.30 ko was unavoidable, many may of struggled to get home from work in time. Many work Saturday mornings these days.
We are home 6 weeks on the bounce pre Xmas . Those who feeling the financial pinch, especially those with kids, may be picking and choosing games.
The world cup is on. Those who just want a footy fix had two games to choose live on TV.

Potentially the crowd will be lower this Saturday in my opinion, we are going directly up against a world cup game and with England playing in the evening. Not everyone can do everything

I was standing near to the incident that didnt happen. It really didnt!!

However I dont think the player was trying to pull a flanker.

He obviously mis heard or mis interpreted something. Casual Racism does exist. I guess the player was on high alert. Its sad on our society that any confrontation, he feels he is being racially abused. Probably because its happened in the past.

Hopefully all the messages that it didnt happen get through to the player and the Hereford management team. That way all parties can move on.

General Discussion / Re: Hereford next Saturday, early kick-off.

If you bought a friend on Saturday, who doesn't normally come, encourage them to come again!
If you work with someone who came Saturday, encourage them to come again!

A lot of bridges have built of late with good form and the cup run. As fans we can sell it to our friends, that coming to the Walks is money well spent regards entertainment.

The club must embrace the moment, never has there been a time in recent history for bridges to be built between the club and those who choose not to attend.

Did anyone see the Parkrun effort? Brilliant. Guess what a lot of those became interested and attended on Saturday or watched on TV! Its all about profile.

I would suggest just slagging off the occasional fan for only coming to the "big games" is a big mistake. Keep them on board!

Don't forget, we are at home every Saturday up to Xmas. Its a big pull on peoples pockets leading up to Xmas. If you can get the floating fan to a couple of games you've done well.

Onwards and upwards.

Be great to see some of the Lynn flags draped around the Walks park in support of the Parkrun "Blue & Gold"

Great gesture by this running community.

Parkrun
Parkrunners are really getting behind this.

There are around 300 Lynn parkrunners each week.
If you wish to join in get a barcode from the Parkrun website ITS FREE!! Then just turn up at 8.45am for an informal brief for a 9am start.
Alternatively why not turn up with your blue & gold stuff and flags and support the runners who are supporting the towns club.

Hopefully many of the ladies team are taking part. Maybe, just maybe a senior member of the club can come along and start the runners off.

A good start to the big day!!

You can always drop into the bowls club for a pint!!!

Absolutely, hope everyone gets behind the event.
Great opportunity for the club to engage with the community.
And for the community to show the club its support

To show their support for The Linnets Lynn Parkrun will encourage all runners to wear blue and gold or better still lynn kit.
The club community team will be on hand. A few of the ladies will be running and Lynn mascot will be on hand.
Hopefully a senior member of club will be in attendance.
You never know the BBC might well be there.
If you run or not turn up to show support

We definitely don't want a Friday night game!!! England playing USA in World Cup. Would have a massive negative impact on gate of any club made to go head to head with that.
I very much doubt money won on Saturday has sorted the financial situation. We would of been running at a loss most of this season and seasons prior.
I think the cup idiot tag has passed. Many of those "old faces" are now regular supporters. Many were at Doncaster which passed without any incident.
A good tie. TV would be a good advert for the club but not essential for us to enjoy the game.
A winnable game if we are on it, as we have been for most of this season.

Interactions with fans when in the ground is great!
But need to get them there in first instance. Need to tell them there will be some free face painting etc.

Now this is the sort of thing that should be all over our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and home page.
Build of interest, leaving fans wanting to be there.

The whole concept of how well we are doing needs selling.........

Alternatively the negative comes to the fore............ poor attendance, no money, budget

General Discussion / Promotion of games

The hierarchy can not complain about attendances, when they themselves are doing nothing to promote home games.
Very little on social media until 11th hour, that there was a game on.
There is nothing flag waving the excellent start to the season.
You can have the a great product, however if you dont go out a sell it, you have no sales.
