Winners and losers.
I win as my 15 yr old son is now FREE. This is a good move to catch young supporters. Probably means more supporters are able to attend with their teenagers also. May be before they both/all stayed at home! A parent/grandparent/ youth coach/teacher can now attend with as many under 16's as feels fit without cost!!! (unless I miss any small print)

Season ticket price differential does seem minimal for some. However if you take up the "extras" you would be on a winner.

Not sure how many are impacted by season ticket price. How many holders are there? Probably those who do take up a season ticket are the kind of supporters who DO attend reserve games.

Last season I looked at admission prices across various leagues. Lynn were more expensive than average if you atteneded on your own. In many cases were cheaper "all up" if you had an under 11. 11-17 yr olds were comparable. As were other concessions.

As I start, winners and lossers. To me the move looks positive in the long run.

If I was to make a wish, is that other revenue channels are exploited. Thus keeping prices at same level next term.

Not sure folks dislike you

They, like me, probably dislike your negative approach to your campaigning.

If you could offer constructive critique  rather than negative spin maybe just maybe we could listen.

Anti everyone and everything will not engage anyone

Mr G what makes you think I was referring to your good self?

I have not carried out a survey or gathered any data as to the damage the negative comments, so unable to quantify per say.

However, what I feel and hear is what allows me to make my judgement call.

Last season was probably the best football seen at the walks for a very long time, if not ever. All the on field efforts were covered over with negative press. Working with casual supporters, when I arrived at work on Monday mornings waxing lyrical the on field performance, all others could retort was the negative stuff that had been spouted via this site and social media.
The war of words with the chairman for example seemed far more important to some than what was being served up on the pitch. As above this bred a negative vibe around the club when it should of been a time of joy.
The floating supporter was not encouraged to attend to see the football on offer. They believed what they hear via social media etc. Choosing not to be associated with a negative club, as portrayed. So in my opinion the negative vibe s do have negative connotations. If folk stay away, gates are lower, sponsors are put off, income is lower.

I am more than aware that you and your family are loyal long term followers of the linnets. Every paying fan has a right to voice opinion. I believe a positive spin with solutions is better than constant critique without resolutions.
There are things at the walks I don't like. However, I have no idea or time or money to put them right. To that end I would not complain or create negative view points, just for the sake of it.

I am certainly no arse licker of anyone. I have met Mr Cleeve on a few occasions. I know he wants the best for this club and dare I say, himself. In polite conversation I think he would agree he scored a few own goals in his first full season. (But most importantly he delivered on the pitch.)

No way should a chairman get involved in twitter wars etc. But when you try so hard and you still get unhelpful flack, I think we all have a breaking point.

So Mr G why don't we all try and support from this point on. create a positive atmosphere around the club. Give folks the chance to iron out the creases. Give the new manager a chance based on results rather than his name (remember Gidman?) I believe that will bring in more of everything. Fans, sponsors, maybe even players who do not want to join a negative feeling club.
Amen

Was manager at Worksop
Currently coaching at Charlton (was)

Played for lynn in the days of Day and Farrow.
Was a good player who went on to play for Hendon, Orient, Stevenage and P'boro.

My Mrs says best looking player Lynn ever had.

Would say comes in same mould as Culverhouse. Time will tell regards results etc etc.

Regards Lappin not being incuded. Did he want to be? Not seen his interest reported anywhere. Other than IC saying could do the job.

Keep it balanced lads.
Give time. No one makes signings at this time. IC first signing was someone I forgotten from March or Chatteris.
Others were gathered as season approached.

I be the first to acknowledge that the chairman has made a few two footed tackles this season. His first full season running a club. Hopefully he will learn from the errors. I have no doubt Ian did do his bit.......( however read above.)
Mr Cleeve did what he said WITH THE TEAM hopefully other stuff will now follow.

For starters,  which players are on contract?

Cameron King signed two years I believe(??)

I know contracts mean very little, however it does make it a bit trickier for players to just up and leave.

I hope "Setch" mates want to continue to play at the highest level and not follow him to Wisbech. Probably an option for one or two now Wisbech playing at higher level.

A lot less travelling!!
Some derby matches. Some old adversaries.

The reduction of travelling could help in our recruitment of players.

The right manager and mix of new players added to those who stay could make for a very interesting season.
(he says trying to make up for yesterdays disappointment.)

Ian Culverhouse did a great job for King's Lynn on the pitch this season, that there is no doubt.

He has obviously found the restraints of working with a non-league club very different to the pro game.

He has obviously set up his departure. That's how pro's do it. They find a reason to walk away or they find something so they can increase their salary.

Ian Culverhouse is a very strong willed man (Villa incident). It's his way or no way.

This is not a slant on Ian's character, its how I see it. Whilst his claims should be acknowledged, too much should not be read into it all. He needed something to go out on.

He's gone. Good luck to him.
