He should give you the log on details to the clubs twitter account acount and pay your entry or give you one one of the complimentary tickets when away.
Simple trade off.
I have to apply for myself for YLP anyway.
OK, so how about the paper and the club doing a deal where the YLP becomes the official match reporter and use the clubs twitter feed, with mentions? It has a far greater reach than the papers sports feed, and you would make it a decent 'live' feed during matches.

So we got paid £125 for every goal conceded.
Not a bad days work by anyone's standard.

£1,500 it was then.
Top run from the ladies who were beaten yesterday in the first round.
Not sure of the score. Great run all the same.

When my sons were playing basketball, I did as any dad does and tagged along. Helped on the committee and 'got stuff done' but that was 5 or 6 years ago now.

On Thursdays, at around 9pm, 40 YLPs arrive at my place. I distribute for the village. I get the read the back pages before most. I'm a twice weekly Lynn News man. The online e-edition is excellent on a decent sized screen fyi. The occasional EDP saturday edition goes down well as well. There's plenty of ways to stay up to date on top of lurking as I do on the forum.
Re attendance. Nowadays, too busy. Originally, stopped going after the chairman used his programme notes to chat**** about me, Gary Setchell and Gav. They both buried the hatchet but cleeve as of yet hasn't made a public apology so he gets bugger all from me.
My sponsorship/ support goes elsewhere. Downham, Swaffham and the mighty Watty Boys. So I'll just keep tuning in, doing what I do online and chipping in if there's a need.

there are many reasons I joined the trust, the live feed was the icing on the cake. When it first started, myself and Matt 'The Tea Boy' Lane and Wayne (where's he gone) would do the updates. They would commentate and I would write. Three seasons we did that and loved it. Both the banter and that we were delivering the news, live.
Mike has sat in the stands for over 5 years now doing the same and delivering shot by shot updates which keeps the stay-a-ways like me updated without having to scroll through the twitter thing.
I would be disappointed if we couldn't come up with something. Not sure what regs say now-a-days due to increased media sponsorship within the leagues, but i see no technical reasons why a live stream or updates can be done, just using a different format or platform. Not a fan of FB myself, but a simple page set up for an event could do the job, or those who can, set up a twitter account and just follow the sports reporters like Greg, Gavin, YLP sport feed and a few others and at least you have the live stuff. This can be done free of charge, but tbh, this season in particular, the clubs twitter feed has raised it's game a few notches and is a better source of updates for most games.
Me and the Mrs run the @kingslynnlive twitter feed so try and update all local games on Saturdays, but that is sporadic due to work and family commitments but we do offer all local teams who use twitter a wider reach (about 5,500 local followers) that's parks as well as non league teams. Not sure what the solution here is, and would love to help keep people informed, but from afar for reasons many are aware of.

Just a thought - with the spiralling costs of electricity etc plus BST ending very soon surely it must be worth considering changing all Saturday kick-off times for non-league clubs to 1pm ? Games should be over by 3 and therefore no need to switch on the floodlights.
I think some teams are going to trial this, mainly to see the effect on attendance? Maybe a time to look at the feasibility of solar panels?
get 30 businesses, all chip in a grand each and I'll get rid of the clubs daytime energy bills for 8-10 months of the year, for the next 40 years. Energy saver and income generator. Other installers are available.

Haven't looked recently, but it was being run by the same team that manage hundreds of local companies websites including my own.
Top top team if still the same guys.

There appears to be many assumptions that the crowd numbers will be dictated by the league position.
Never heard so much claptrap in all my days.
The gate is determined by the footballs clubs ability to bring the community in. Other than the football, can someone tell me what community activities the club conduct to bring more people in on game days?
I look around non-league football for the community stuff and see so much going on, supporters clubs collecting for community food banks, clothes for refugees, blue light days, a different charity every week, Kick it out campaigns, kids shoot out comps, a non stop community drum beat, that endears the locals to the club, not just the league position.
In my world, the football is secondary but the club is everything.
