General Discussion / Re: Car Park Charges
« on: June 23, 2018, 01:44:39 PM »
yesterdays Lynn news says the club and council are negotiating a long term lease and the car park appears to be part of the discussion.

Says the club can not attract long term investment with only 17 yrs left on it....

Its a Hero Gym event, not KLTFC
I guess the media comes from them.
However, opportunity to flush through the bar pipes!

Thank you,

Other than it's on this Saturday and the doors open from 6:30pm,  does anyone know any more?  Prices?  bars etc?

Cheers in advance....

General Discussion / Re: Terras Boss - "Weymouth are underdogs".
« on: May 01, 2018, 03:03:04 PM »
I'd argue that we are the underdogs,  no pressure on us at all.  It's all a bonus from here on in.  Who would have thought we would be where we are last July?

Hope, yes,  honestly believe?  not many.  It's been awesome football this year and we have one more match to enjoy....   Maybe two....

Weymouth may have finished 5th, but they are no underdog,  the record book shows that....   They are firm favourites,  all the pressure is on them,  we're just building for the future and happy to be here.......

Would a few quid really matter....?

surely a player wants a decent CV at the end of their career.  An extra £100 is **** all compared to a winners medal and your name in King's Lynn folklore when they progress....

If he lived in West Norfolk and had great links with the local natural feeder leagues, then great.  Get him in

General Discussion / Re: Ian Culverhouse

Good manager, was never going to be around for long.  Would have thought he would have stayed 100% focused until he got the job done, being a pro and all that.

Bit of a let down but he has his reasons i am sure.

General Discussion / Re: THE PITCH
« on: April 24, 2018, 03:00:46 PM »
3G pitches pay for themselves.....

First,  the council part fund it and have access during school hours. They create the Linnets of the future from a very early age....

Second.  Mondays, wednesday and fridays you run 3 x 7-a-side pitches across it for the West Norfolk Floodlit 7's League.

3 matches played simultaneously makes 9 games a night in a league format. £20 a team would bring in a grand a week in fees alone..... Bar would be heaving and commercially viable

You've halved your costs and doubled your income......

All it takes is a business minded football fan, or group of fans with proven track record in business and 'community cohesion'  to make this happen........

Football, when done right, is really simple....

:laughcry: :laughcry:  :scarf:

Go on,  why laugh.  Let me ask you this one question,

WHO wouldn't want to go to a game under lights on a Thursday evening to watch the biggest game of the season to date?   We have the opportunity to secure 2nd place.  No bragging rights there, but it gives us home advantage going into the play-offs.

Promotion is a handful of games away and the final push starts tomorrow.  Everything else has just been foundation. TOMORROW is all that matters right now.

Let's say we get promoted, and we are good enough to do that, we will need 1,000 plus every week just to compete....    There's nothing else on in Town tomorrow other Pool and Darts leagues.. so no excuses.  Most weekend football is coming to an end, so no Thursday training sessions,  that will bring another 400 in..... No doubt the Chairman is waiting till tomorrow to hammer the publicity machine and what with the Lynn News coverage yesterday,  it will be rammed to the rafters.......

Promotion depends on gates..... tomorrow will show what King's Lynn is capable of..........

To quote IC from the clubs website

'“This is the time for the people of King’s Lynn to come and get behind us, a few of the older faces round the club talk about the old days when there would be 1500-2000 screaming fans on the terraces, Lets have one of them nights and give the boys a little bit extra to spur them on”.
