I don't understand why anyone would have bought a season ticket this season with all the uncertainty (unless they really, really wanted to keep 'their' seat for 2021/22 season) but I still think they should be paying to stream cup games.

TonyM, this is the first year I have bought a season ticket. I got one for myself and one each for the kids. There was a fair bit of thought in this, after last seasons fantastic results and the way the team has played football on the pitch we wanted a way to show that we supported the playing team and the club as a whole. We decided that we would get to as many home games as possible this year so a season ticket gives us an economic gain in a normal season. With CoViD restrictions looming during pre-season it was obvious that if limited numbers were allowed into the ground then it would be season ticket holders first and we don't want to miss that chance. As it became clear that we would not be watching at the Walks it also became clear to me that the club would need as much support financially as possible, so I was happy to let the club have my season ticket money to carry on with the National League project. The streaming for season ticket holders has come as a bonus to us as and its something that I didn't count on having, so Mr Cleeve, thank you for that one.

We've all got our own reasons for the ways we financially support the club and in my mind this was the simplest way to allow me to do that. Other people may be happy to add to the 'war chest' or give to the ground development fund. My thinking is that a season ticket shows the club that my intent was to support throughout the season and the monies will be allocated by the club with that in mind.

Keep the Faith, COYL
Well put , Iím same reason as yourself and Iíll be having one next season to  :scarf: :scarf:

Was really pleased with the way we was playing , Even  when behind I felt we had enough to draw or win the game but Rory Rory Rory why ? We was on top looking good defensive and attack and then red mist I know itís passion etc but our discipline could cost us like today clunan booking pointless ( didnít learn after guiseley) same as Richards  both having good games . On wards upwards but the bus home could of been so different  :scarf:

Can see both sides here,  am surprised at ped dropped but then did IC see it tactically using muirs height against the likes of Rhead and co , we needed 2 keepers last season as I think peds had a lot of pressure all season and  injury to add  and some games heíd have a flappy 10 mins if he made a mistake.. still my No1 though ... In IC I trust   :scarf:

I had trouble logging on using their 2nd Auth Code  - tried it several times and it said incorrect.

Went back to Mail box and found a later email in Junk with correct Code. Why did they send 2 x Codes? Missed first 5mins.

Then Stream froze, broke up and refreshed loads of times.

However, it settled down and have to say "It's  early days in this Streaming for all Clubs" so teething problems have to be expected.
Same problems mine kept buffering saying waiting for transaction to go through , so I did it all again same then as I turned radio on to listen but then found all the emails ... all good but now realise I paid £20 to watch it ....... well  worth it though 🟡🔵

Maidenhead Streamer, you are forgiven and, all in all, it was a good program. Your Commentators were excellent and very fair. Thank you for your praise for all players on both sides  - sorry for nicking all 3points (not)  :laughcry:

Does this mean the first team canít train together now for X number of days? It canít help the preperation in readiness for the opening day.

I guess this is the way things will be for sometime to come.
Sadly this could be the Ďnew normí build up to games and then the 11 hour postponed , could even be the case teams have already traveled to away games .. obviously safety 1st but from a football fans view gutting to think the biggest season ever and we possibly canít be a part of it or for the players a mix of game , self isolate, game , etc could hamper team spirit and preparation...

Boohoo perhaps if half of you lot wasnít so negative all the time you might of managed to got in ... few people whoís done an amazing amount of time/work  over the summer watched the game , even if youíd been invited youíd find something to whinge about ... the club gave us a livestream so take that positive but Iím more worried you seem to be concentrating on whos watching than watching the team ... couldnít of been much of a game then !!
For once peeps get a life

Iíll be happy to stay in the league and set ourselves up for many a season in NL  , think though mid table and a few top results going our way ... my only concern is a stop start season and then a fixture pile up wether that could stop our rhythm like last season
Canít wait for it to begin  :scarf: :scarf:

That's good to hear (and as it should be).  :scarf:
Nice idea  , as I thought ST holders  was to get into friendlies free or reduced
£5 ainít to bad would cost me that in fuel

Great signing.  Have to disagree with the idea that competition for places, if it involves too many players, it is not ďalways a good thing for everyoneĒ.  Players often donít produce their best until they feel they are regulars, and I worry that the squad may become a little top heavy, with the unfortunate possibility of our losing good players.  Whoever left would be a good player, because we donít have any who are not.  Again, great signing..and well done to all concerned in making it.
With us being part time think we do need the competition as last season at times was thread bare .. try picking your fav 11 then see whoís left out .. all Iíd say whoíd be a manager !!!  Canít see Hawkins , Sam getting much game time ...

Call me naive etc but I see the good in everything our club is trying to do to take it forward etc
But as a season ticket holder and non drinker I canít see  why joining would benefit me  , I know itís hard to see forward regarding Covid etc but other perks could of been discounted away travel or  off a meal before a game , or off any events the club may hold ... shame as it potentially can be a good idea

General Discussion / Re: Backroom Staff

Just like to add my opinion on the matter,

Id go as far to say 80 - 90% of the behind the scene staff, St john's and the stewarding team are volunteers. Many of them put more hours in for free, that's right completely free, than many people actually work in a week. I avoid this forum for many reasons however one of the main ones is due to the constant drivel a few people speak. Constant moaning and whinging, the club cant do right from wrong. If people supported the club as much as they moan then it would be a miracle.

With you on that boys but.  Take Halifax as an example if West Yorks is in temporary lock down how can home games be played with even a restricted gate?  Then how can a team from a lockdown area travel elsewhere to fulfill a fixture.

*. Not sure if Halifax is in the area that is on restrictions, just using it as a Ďwhat ifí
agree mallard , this season I can see either cut short or stop start throughout as like you say
ĎHalifaxí lock down means poss 3-4 games pp and then how do they then fit them in an already busy schedule ??  Just hope we have a good start can see ppg deciding  next seasons outcome .... 🤞 hope Iím wrong
