General Discussion / Re: ALL quiet on the kings lynn front

Thatís a very good point Blu. Those 3 wouldnít have been many fans choices last season.  However we are at a lower standard this season, plus Theo wouldnít have featured in many fans starting 11 but that didnít stop Tommy keeping him.
My thoughts to think this is a big season to for him thought some games he was ok but like the 3mentioned to still lack that touch all have talents in ways but never consistent either to do the full 90 , what frustrates me is some players we had we knew theyíd be subbed ie Theo,Brett which to me was plan A&B was always the same.

Be honest would gyasi, sundire ,bird wouldnít feature in many of our first team choices so really good bit of business to off load , yes it may seem slow with arrivals but Iíd rather get the right players in the right position rather than panic buying as needs must (ie the three mentioned ) have faith in TW and his plans  :scarf:

Could of been an insensitive to give season ticket holders for free .. yes theyíre good teams to play but letís be honest you may get one or 2 first teamers in the opposing sides also last season there was loads of trialists playing and the game never got going .. do think personally £15 step should be £10 imo

Thatís just under £15 a game for ST holders .. not bad  :scarf:
In the current climate and to help people out wonder if they could do a monthly plan? Itís all depend how you value your footy people will argue still to much and then go and buy a pint for a fiver and  a kebab for a tenner and letís be honest ainít many attractions that are cheap nowadays for a paying adult Ö  Hope Tommy can put a attractive winning side to get punters through the turnstiles

Tbh 100% agree with that away end and if I visited an away end like that Iíd be disappointed , that end could do with proper terraced steps ..
And I do hate the spast**s song and the hideous and dated die screech when an opponent is injured.

Thought first half we matched them the goal knocked the stuffing out of us but 2 nd half never threatened them .. as much as I love Barrett but he seems to do to much and wish weíd let others who are more than capable of taking a free kick or corner  !!

Itís ridiculous that we farmed Gyasi out !  Now that we at last seem capable of at least getting into the opponentsí penalty area, Gyasi should be brought back straightaway, and made the first name on the team
sheet.

To be fair DD, two different managers didn't think Gyasi was the answer hence he is out on loan at a part-time club.  Whilst it sounds like he is taking his chance with more regular playing time I am not sure he figures in TW's plans.  Also, have you actually seen Gyasi play in the flesh or are you calling for his return from loan based on a good game against Wrexham?  Personally I didn't think he was NL standard but then again what would I know, I would never have signed Walker but TW found a place in the squad for him
Agree with you , he has the ability but not so much a footballing brain as in positioning and work rate stood many a time behind cully and he was constantly at him as heíd drift etc .. may be ok in north but still canít see him being a regular

Can't believe earlier today this would have been a concern one way or the other but I now have to ask the question - presumably Gyasi can't play against us next week?

Yes, it's been a strange day!
No  gyasi canít play against us ..
canít help but to dream of an exciting end to the season (lynn fans on the pitch v Wealdstone after securing survival) but theyíve set the standard now Ö we got a good draw and performance v Grimsby only to follow it up with poor defeat , letís not make Dover a banana skin Ö  :scarf: :bus:

Pierce Bird has gone to ....... Halifax on loan
So is bird a signing or have we loaned a loanee? Anyway strange decision tbh obviously they see something Tommy doesnít leaving me to ask is it cheaper to pay for coulson and Hickman than play our own players  to get us to the end of the season and cut costs Iíd seriously think about calling our own back and let Tommy see what heís got to work with and end our loan player where able to .

BB, Bird was a summer signing so loaning him out when TW seems dead set against playing him will presumably get some contribution towards his wages and also put him in the shop window for a summer move.  I think the loanees in current squad are Fernadez (season), Coulson (mth), Phipps (season), McGavin (season), Hargreaves (mth), Linton (season), Kurran-Browne (season).  As for calling players back, that only really works if we remain full-time next season, if we revert to part-time you would imagine those on two year deals will have to be offloaded anyway.
Thanks Tony I was losing track whoís ours or loans with all the ins /outs this season , also thereís Hickman , zain ,and the other lad from Stevenage  thought 7 was the max of loan players  , so maybe like you say heís seeing if he can off load for next seasons budget going to be a big clear out and plenty of new faces come August Öjust thought he could se if the likes of knowles, joe gazza , flo , gyasi would feature to see if they have what he need next season , donít want another Taylor slipping through our fingers

Another game closer to the end of the season, TW seemed relaxed at the press conference this morning https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiSwV8J4-sI and talked of players taking their opportunity although whether we see that many changes from the side that played Tuesday evening only time will tell.  Preview on the club site saying Barrows may be fit and so for me he should come straight back into the starting XI and I don't understand why Hickman is being given game time, Jones is a much, much better player imo and more likely to be here next season so doesn't make any sense.
Exactly Jones is just a few who still has this club at heart , what ever fees weíre paying for Hickman , Hargreavesís  be best put towards bills or next seasonís budget , got zain back and never plays him and some games itís crying out for a player to get at opposing defenders , weíve sundire , gyasi , gazza , Knowles just give them the rest of the season and see if they can play for his future plans ..

Personally I think we will struggle on the pitch next season as much as we have done this season, unless all the big talk stops and some serious actions starts to take place.

And this is when we will be playing at a level that many will probably think we can win the title and bounce straight back.
Not with this team though. As you've said serious actions need to take place. I'm not even sure if the manager will be here next season! In some ways I'd like to see what he really can do at the start of the season and that's if he's allowed to.

What on Tommyís CV fills you full of hope that he can do a job here next season?

Iím with you and BnG mallard Ö. Ok perhaps culverhouse era had gone stale and change needed (Iíd rather he had stayed and had the backing Tommy had ) but what has TW and his staff changed I donít see anything tactically that excites me , and next season heís got to recruit 10 or more players  and get them playing to North standard to compete  , even heís changed from the Dover game on the sideline  to now .. is he thinking Iím outta my depth with this side /club  all the talk hasnít worked out

Tonight's game just sums up the season , nothing up top, not positive enough on the ball and it was too much hitting and hoping for Gold to win the balls in the air, but he couldn't be bothered to compete against the 6ft 6 defender who had an easy night. Woking were so poor , these are teams we need to get the maximum points from. We need to have a team that will compete in the North next season, most of these wouldn't cope .  :shark:
I fear whatís gong to happen between now and august .. such a rebuild and tbh I really donít think Tommy and his crew have what it takes have we improved?? Perhaps little more huff n puff to us but I donít see his style  . The one thing Iíve noticed with opposing teams is they have 3/4 brutes  we just seem so physically weaker and shorter   Next season we need to  stand up and be counted itís going to be a tough league next year !!
