General Discussion / Re: Walsall at home
« on: November 08, 2021, 09:17:11 PM »
Volunteers shouldn’t be put on the frontline like this. The segregation is inadequate, the neutral area should be widened and staffed by professional security.

Yes, that's the very least that needs doing.

I have to ask what the hell the H & S guy is thinking about allowing Volunteer Stewards into such a dangerous "neutral area" in the first place. Such an obvious flash point!

Agree , but we’ve had other teams with bigger followings and no trouble as those morons who attended Saturday was elsewhere , defiantly a big neutral zone needed . Also I heard it isn’t as easy to give ( or is but comes at a cost ) the whole tenny end and half of the other as it’ll need other safety complications and more toilets and food outlets , turnstiles  etc   …. So back to cheaper option widen neutral zone .

Sad as all this does regarding Saturday is get us all tarred with the same brush and can make away days for us intimidating , spoke to a lot of Walsall and was all a good friendly bunch as is 99% of us  :scarf:

get rid off /loan out
Gold
Sundire
Gyasi
Return Linton
? Barrett signing looks ok but already injured ( we’re in a relegation battle we can’t afford to carry people
Get in who cully wanted  …

With the greatest respect Blue, I thought all of the above were players that Cully wanted (?)......I remember him saying he was excited by the prospect of Gold and Junior, Sundire would give us much needed power in the midfield etc etc. I also remember him saying pre season that they needed to get the recruitment right or the consequences would be severe. I feel we need some deep knowledge of what's required at this level in the set up before we bring other players in.

The keeper and defensive signings have been good, but you would expect that from IC, but I would argue we may need someone on board with good knowledge of forward play at NL level. Gashy and IC get on well I believe.......shame we can't tap into Gashy's knowledge in terms of forward development and recruitment.
That is true now you’ve reminded me
I know he like his big /little up front combo , was gash maz a one off for us under ic ? and now we’ve no plan B as how many times does he stick with gold all game , Yeovil n Wrexham wasn’t that impressed with him , at this moment I can’t see junior/gold /lints getting 10 between them let alone each ! Could we get a goal scoring coach in to help even ?  Keeper Jones has been superb so far and that shows what a difff that make regarding last season .
Thing is how do you get hold of a decent scorer as he’d be playing if he was and then they’ll bump up his price tag if they know how desperate we are for one .

I hate moaning about players about ability etc as they wouldn’t be were they are today , but I just don’t see golds heart in it his work ethic is poor  and inconsistent the times I’ve seen him win a ball only then to give it away ,I’ve yet to see him bullying a defender . Gyasi /sundire ability there but at this level I’m unsure , lints , junior plenty of running but to me never look a threat .
Another thing is has going full time paid off ?? I think we’re still a yard slower behind other teams yes we’ve been unfortunate with injuries but I still don’t see what his chosen side would be !

Never a dull moment.

Was hoping for more of an out n out striker …

No he isnt going to score for lynn while at wroxham , but like I said it’s a lot to put on him when our fans are turning on the front line and if things don’t work out  I wouldn’t want to see his confidence knocked by aggravated few fans , just thought bringing on gyasi or zain would be more creative .. :dontknow:

Thought he was ok , but think he was blowing by the end of the game as the diff between step 1 to 5  and it’s a lot to put on his shoulders , IMO thought it was a big call by IC to put him on in a game which was scoreless and against a team going well ( can’t see how ) I would of thought zain or gyasi would of got the nod first .
Not knocking the lad but let him have the season at wroxham ..

General Discussion / Re: Barnet at home Tuesday night
« on: October 05, 2021, 11:09:36 PM »
I may off only played village football but one thing I was always told when taking a penalty was put your f’n laces through it .. he didn’t even walk up convincingly, I know he’s been injured and yet to play alongside junior but I’m not convinced he’s our answer for survival.
Thought jones played well just the odd over hit cross , clunan was good and rowley . Again  it’s about taking your chances Barnet did and that changed our game plan yea we soon got back into it but felt 2nd half didn’t have same tempo … onwards upwards see you all Saturday  :scarf:

General Discussion / Re: Monday's FA Cup draw
« on: October 04, 2021, 11:54:20 PM »
Any home draw, you have got to be pleased with that. Certainly could have been a tougher opponent, but we won't be taking our opponents lightly. I'm sure some of us can remember the likes of Parson Drove and Woodford. Woodford's keeper sent off, an outfield player took his place, his first job was to pick the ball out of the net after we scored with a deflected free kick to go 1-0 up, ended up losing.
Its a clever move by Mr Cleeve to reduce the admission. Who knows, maybe Taylor will take his place on the bench too.

Taylor cup tied ?
If not can’t see the point bringing him in for one game , let him flourish/gain experience  this season where he is …

I do like to think I’m a half glass full and pro everything the club do … but today at the game was thinking how flat the club has become .. awful crowd , no atmosphere, and I must say though we’re full time some off those players seemed non interested , no urgency, lack off belief.. defence looks comfortable (or better)  but our forward line are huffing puffing goldy gets criticised but I’m yet to see what the lad from Wycombe bring to the side , and when junior is deep we’ve nothing up front . Personally I’m no IC but why not bring gyasi on instead of sundire I think he would of caused more problems and more direct . Really miss king  … feel our spine of the team has left and no one there to rally them …

General Discussion / Re: Cameron King
« on: September 23, 2021, 12:08:04 PM »
The lack of news may be due to a confidentiality issue of a medical nature.

No statement from the Club may also be due to Cameron himself not wishing to make public his situation.

Is Cameron training with the team  :dontknow:

That could well be the true fact Mike.

I suppose the real issue is the lack of engagement with the supporters whatever the subject is.

Keep using this lack of engagement quote to dramatise situation, how about thinking things are kept of media for a reason whether personal or whatever like I said I’m sure when the times right we may well know … leave it to the professionals and you concentrate on getting behind lynn this weekend

We will be informed when the times right for club and Cameron .

Cameron’s absence is really not helping a threadbare squad, cope with the demands of National League Football. Very good player in the past for KLTFC, but I must say at this moment in time not helping the cause. I realise it’s early in the season, but if he can’t cope now how will he fare in December and January.

I sure Steve , cully and the team are  aware and prepared for what’s best for him hence our loan signings
