General Discussion / Re: Bad day for the Linnets
« on: February 05, 2023, 07:32:07 PM »
Totally agree Dilly,
Second in the league
Games in hand on third and fourth
best goal difference in the league
4 defeats all season
none at home
Absolutely disgraceful Tommy should hold his head in shame
Just remember where we were last year at this time , there are still 20+ games to go.
if you want to question selections take a look at HMS Titanic in Boston
TOMMYS PROMOTION CHASING LINNETS
I agree with you but it’s the manner of yesterdays defeat gets me and tbh last 6/7 games we’ve huffed and puffed for results and like yesterday it catches up with you , I don’t care with games in hand on teams lower as we need automatic promotion not the lottery of playoffs , personally we miss Hargreaves’s engine and dare I say it Gold , I’d rather see Barrett dropped to bench and give ponts and cosgrave the chance . Teams like Buxton we should be attacking from the off and yesterday was awful , blame pitch , officials but let’s be honest yesterday we looked a mid table team worryingly.
Big big month ahead starting Tuesday

Blimey I thought Saturday’s  attendance would’ve been low ,dread to think what turn out a cold Tuesday night in January will bring ..

After last nights disappointment I would say Tommy would be hoping to bring at least one in for Saturday.  He can’t afford two slip ups on the trot.   If no one comes in I can’t see it being through TW not trying but maybe more that SC’s chequebook isn't open wide enough.
Unfortunately though thanks to a minority that £6000 fine would’ve gone along way to signing someone.

We will come good again but tbh I just can’t see where the goals will come from ,let’s be honest we got lucky Saturday and now tonight ,I think our FA cup momentum bubble has burst and now we’re back to the nitty gritty of the league 4big games coming up and personally would want 7-9 points from those brackley /spennymoor going to be tough after nights like tonight , can’t see us get a 1000 in the walks until Boston weather like it is can only see the hardcore turning up

Well worryingly 2-0 down at half time and another Tommy booking ,after the excessive fine Saturday and TW yet again getting booked could he be setting us up for another fine ?? Also not knocking our forward line but desperately need other options if jordon still injured, imo there’s no pace or closing down with gold /Barrett up front .Charles is option but still a bit raw .. as good as a season we’re having and yet Boston only 10 behind ,big dec/Jan coming up

I though I’d treat me and mine to a Hospitality package for the Stevenage game.  That was until I went by book it.   The price a staggering £114 per person.  Normal price is £69.

At least Dick Turpin had the good grace to wear a mask
Thanks for saving me the time , I was about to treat myself!!
Must be 10 courses for that

Is this really going to be a sell out or is there going to be plenty of tickets available ?   Having it live on the box will have an affect ?

I did wonder that.

Not sure what the answer is to that one.

My thoughts exactly.  Money is still tight for many.
A family of 4can sit round the telly and watch for free,  compared to around £50 entrance.
Still think there will be a good turnout, 2500-3000.
Would be more if kids for a quid, or even free with an adult.

I agree Jesus , imo I personally think we’re ( the loyal regulars)  are worrying about missing out on this one  , Stevenage will get 800 , if there’s 200 members STH all buy 6 that’s 1200 so there’s still 2500 to others  , not that many turned up for Walsall last season and some of the bigger games to . I think 3631

General Discussion / Re: ALL quiet on the kings lynn front
« on: June 25, 2022, 11:10:05 AM »
That’s a very good point Blu. Those 3 wouldn’t have been many fans choices last season.  However we are at a lower standard this season, plus Theo wouldn’t have featured in many fans starting 11 but that didn’t stop Tommy keeping him.
My thoughts to think this is a big season to for him thought some games he was ok but like the 3mentioned to still lack that touch all have talents in ways but never consistent either to do the full 90 , what frustrates me is some players we had we knew they’d be subbed ie Theo,Brett which to me was plan A&B was always the same.

Be honest would gyasi, sundire ,bird wouldn’t feature in many of our first team choices so really good bit of business to off load , yes it may seem slow with arrivals but I’d rather get the right players in the right position rather than panic buying as needs must (ie the three mentioned ) have faith in TW and his plans  :scarf:
