General Discussion / Re: King's Lynn Town v FC Halifax Town 2-0« on: March 27, 2022, 09:27:49 AM »Isnt it funny that the forums dead after a superb win! Jeez seems some arent happy when there is nothing to moan about! Yes, I notice that trend as well. I've always put it down to people caring about the club, but some do seem more interested in moaning and/or scoring points off of other contributors to this forum. It's disappointing. 18

A very good win. We are still one of the favourites to be relegated but this means we still have a bit of hope left.

I'm not critical of SC because with clubs of our status and size they inevitably need a strong money man (or woman) at the top. By definition they are likely to be egotistic, opinionated and ,probably, hedonistic. They put their money in (or guarantee loans) and they want things done their way. We, the supporters, go along for the ride and usually ignore the excesses of the owner's character whilst things are going well. When events take a down turn (as now) all the old annoyances and anger start to resurface. Until the club becomes a 'community owned' entity it will always be thus I feel. I wish I knew how this is done ????

I think IC is one of the best managers Lynn has ever had. One only has to watch the regular National League games on BT to see the gulf between us and most of the other teams in terms of players, stadium and, no doubt money. IC and SC have got us to a league for which we are not currently geared for. Effectively their efforts have got us to a position much higher than is normal for us. Of course it can all be turned round and there are many examples of clubs of our size going on to much better things and EPL status. I'm not qualified to give an answer, all I can do is wish the club well.

I've just remembered. He was always after my sweets at school but never handed out his own...ever. Has he changed ??

Having gone to school with Nigel, he certainly was a legend even then. Sadly all the blond hair has gone (as mine has too ).
The idea of opening up the bar for visiting supporters to Norwich is a good idea although (and this might be my age) the old bladder would be suffering by the time I got to Norwich. 28

I don't know the Chairman and I don't have a clue what his character is. However he has stayed through this very difficult time and no doubt put a lot of his own money into the club. He is unlikely to get any out. Some of the so called fans on this forum seem to spend all their time bitching about what he has done or, in their view, not done. Please stop talking and writing this squit. Get behind the club and lets keep on a troshin. If your faver has got a dickey bor then you can comment, otherwise stop.
