General Discussion / Saturday at Heacham FC
« on: September 10, 2020, 07:43:06 PM »
For those looking to get to watch some football, saturday is a great opportunity to get down to see Heacham FCs home debut in the Anglian Comb Premier against Gorleston Reserves. Heacham started off last saturday away to very established Bungay by spanking the home team 7-1. Heacham have a few ex Linnets on the books including Jack Defty, Nathan Daw, Alex Clunan and the likes of Ross McNeil in the dug out.
Look forward to seeing some of you there. You won't be diussappointed and for example a bottle of water is 50P NOT £2!!!!!!!

General Discussion / Saturdays 1st team and Reserves fixtures-any feedback?
« on: September 07, 2020, 07:55:13 PM »
Looking at the forum there is nothing about the 1st team game at Royston and also the Reserves/U21 first home game against Framlingham.
Anyone go to either?

Adrian Flux have actually been sponsors of the ladies team for several seasons. This NOT a new sponsorship. I take it as renewal.
No doubt it will cost them substantially more than previous seasons.

Call me naive etc but I see the good in everything our club is trying to do to take it forward etc
But as a season ticket holder and non drinker I canít see  why joining would benefit me  , I know itís hard to see forward regarding Covid etc but other perks could of been discounted away travel or  off a meal before a game , or off any events the club may hold ... shame as it potentially can be a good idea

BB, I don't think it is naÔve, more a case that I don't think this scheme is marketed at you, or rather season ticket holders in general.

I would imagine there are a number who haven't renewed / purchased season tickets this season who can still see the value in paying 'something' to secure some reassurance that they can still get in on a match day in the likely event that attendances are restricted throughout the season.  For me I think it is priced 'top end' (big surprise for KLTFC!) but that is maybe because I won't benefit from any of the discounts but in all likelihood will still buy one.

Fully take KES80's point that it makes a match ticket a bit more pricey but (without wishing to open another debate about the current regime's capability / business plan) the club needs fans to back it and this is one way that we can do that.  Going back to KES80's early point about what else could be offered in the membership scheme - maybe now is the time to ask how many are prepared to give to the club without something material in return?
TOP END (big surprise!
According to the last podcast, yes my first time to actually listen in before i fell asleep, bored), tickets prices are HALF what they actually should be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I new Burnham Market was the Chelsea of Norfolk but sounds like KLTFC are the Chelsea Fc of Norfolk.

Stowmarket ask for no Linnets fans to attend tomorrow, hope people are responsible enough to follow the request
The U18s and U23s are both at Heacham FC tomorrow (2pm and 2-30pm) if people want to see the Linnets of the future (or so i have been told).

Well who would think a garment would cost that on the low volumes the club would be able to purchase.
He who thinks he knows everything but knows nothing. Strange that the new training shirt is £45 when it is the same fabric as used for all football shirts, polyester!

Unless i have missed something it is very quiet on the forum regarding why the 1st team game did not go ahead on saturday at Bishops Stortford or any details regards the U21s defeat at Norwich United.
Yes i know they are billed as friendlies but a little detail for those who have not seen the EDP today would be helpful as to what sort of team was put out at Norwich.

Well I'm going along with a lot of the other posts. I am not going to buy a season ticket. The club seems to be making up its own laws.
Getting rather fed up with , Give, Give, Give, all the time. Time the club started to show some respect for the fans, and stopped thinking they are made of money.
Don't hold your breath Mac!

Are they the same people that wore the blinkers during the Bobbins/Chinn reign Gordon ?  Shame people didn't pre-warn on that little disaster.
[/quote Definitely not. This is supporters who think everything is hunky dory at the moment because of where we are at in respect of National League. Nothing could possibly go wrong!
I have a large box of tissues ready.

General Discussion / Re: Fundraising
« on: August 12, 2020, 08:29:13 PM »
Would it be worth seeing if you can fit in another season ticket raffle before the season kicks off, I would be willing to gamble another tenner? :dontknow:

How about Contacting Mark Hearle to see if the Club would release the first of the new shirts off the production line, with the new sponsor's name.  Then get all the first team squad to sign it and The Trust run a raffle at a Fiver a ticket.

Iíll even buy the shirt.

Maybe the Chairman could present the shirt to the winner.  Good photo opportunity for the Chairman/Club plus also help toward a reconciliation between SC and The Trust.

Well done Mallard. I'm sure i read somewhere they only cost  £1 to manufacture, so shouldn't be too expensive for you.
But i actually heard it from the horses mouth so it must be true.

Hopefully the club will supply Mallard with the shirt at cost as a gesture of thanks for his generous offer rather than profiteer on a fundraising gesture that will benefit the GDF and subsequently the club.

It all depends how you define your market Lol
I'm good thanks Gordon, Graham and yourself will , I'm sure, never be forgotten as sponsor or personalities by those on the terraces and in the stands. Unrivalled loyalty and support over the years and ownership's!  :scarf:
thanks Graham. To many people nowadays wearing blinkers thinking that everything is coming up Roses in the garden (Walks). I hope that i am proven wrong but something massive has to happen for me to be proved wrong.

Gordon, Iím sure you have been a loyal supporter and stuck in a good few K over the years ( something I assume you were happy and could afford to do).  People like yourself Should not be forgotten for the level of support you have given.   However, as they say time and tide stands still for no man.    It appears that SC and MH have found plenty of sponsor willing to come onboard and throw their lot in with the Club.    It far easier to get people onboard who want to ride the wave of success than get people involved when the Club has been on the bones of its ass.  Though the prices would reflect that.

For me, the sad thing is that a local Company like GG canít be found a way to be involved.  Something that works for both parties.  I guess you just have to accept that both parties have moved on.   Though Gordon Iím sure your time at the Club will come again.
That will NOT be anytime soon! That is the definite answer to that question.
be warned those involved with the club in anyway shape or form WATCH YOUR BACKS.
I have definite news that an approach was made to replace ** as he is not deemed good enough to continue at the level the club is now at. NOBODY is safe!
