General Discussion / game Off What a shambles
« on: December 26, 2021, 02:48:45 PM »
 :bus:

Have had 5 relatives organised so we had all 12 of us just meet at the walk at 1.45, in the bar found out, I've been to the walk and seen games  in worst conditions than the pitch today.

What a shambles, my mates have travelled 3 hours to get to Lynn, why not do the pitch inspections at 10pm  before people leave to get here.

its an embarrassment that the club treat fans like this, no wonder the attendances are so low this season.

General Discussion / Re: Barnet at home Tuesday night

someone says that bad weather would put older supporters off going tonight, I'm an older supporter what puts me off going is not the weather its the team taking the knee, I find it appalling that this extreme political viewpoint has got anything to do with football, and that's coming from someone of mixed race.

PS.. my predict is that Adam will score and when that happens, I  think the manager will regret his comments in the press yesterday and realise that if was still here we would be much higher up the league.....

I took this 15 minutes before kick off, 5 mins later North terrace supports flags were put up and then some 50 or so True fans arrived. The main reason for the low attendance is the high cost of Tickets, is it to pay for all these new ***** players who seem to dominate the starting XI, who are clearly skillful on the ball but do not play with the fun and swagger of teams of the recent past.

If the management ever read these comments, get Marriot back and you would immediately get 500 fans to come back, after all, we got Culverhouse back after he left.

From memory, I think the attendance was one of the smallest I've been to in over 25 years of going to the walks.

General Discussion / The game today v Chesterfield

 The day started dreadful, taking the knee, what for ? The team played dreadful, all that passing around at the back leads to lost procession.  The two new "strikers" where hopeless, they just didn't seem to try or care like Marriott and Gash did, no wonder we all sang in unision " we want Gash back" at least we got a reaction from Burrows from that, so he at least cares. If I was the manager I would be ringing up Gash and Marriot and pleading with them to play part time again.

The steward I spoke to at half time was not a volunteer he was a sub contractor from an events company.

Please see my post about Stewarding on Tuesday, I have been standing on the North terrace for 20 odd years +, You can't hear the PA there anyway. The Hi viz stewards who have never been to the walks before, just randomly put tape all over the place intimidating the youngsters into bunching together !!! When we playing in front of 400 a few years ago there where hardly any youngsters coming to the games, now there are here we have idiots in Hi Vis who take these "guidance/rules" too far, a more common sense approach would be, where money was spent on local people used as stewards and The PA system up graded so it can actually be heard on the North terrace.

You where clearly not at the game, we arrived all spaced out mask wearing on the North Terrace, only for hi vis steward who was in charge even admitted to me that he had never been to the Walks before, herded us all together by his intimation behaviour by putting tape randomly all over the place.

What happened to the local steward Noddy ?  The PA on the North terrace has not worked for years, no one can hear anything unless it is almost silence.

There is no excuse for pitting on the lights while the game is still on.

:scarf: It was great back in the north Terrace singing for Lynn, great for Burrows to get the goal, it was clear the team played for the crowd. me and my  sons really enjoyed the game.

However the evening was spoiled by the marshalling by stewards at half time, who put tape all over the place with no explanation, it seemed they seemed on intent of inciting us to cause trouble and then at the end they strung out on the pitch in a line facing us on the terrace, what on earth is that all about, I've been standing on the terrace with my sons for about 20 years and never seen any trouble, even when we had 4000 v York, the north terrace are where the die hard Lynn supporters are, who make the biggest sound and have great banter, and where there is n ever growing away support from and then they switch on all the lights on 5 mins before the game ends !! Do they want us to come back ? Put a daft old bloke in High vis jacket and they become idiots.
