He was shaken and stirred  every time he tried to catch a ball over his head...brilliant shot stopper but that's as far as it went.

It doesn't need to be ' doh ', Oberon. People are posting re items that they feel could be improved...that is positive and constructive criticism. They are also posting praise where they think it is appropriate.

Sadly social media loses all the tone and inflection that you would find if the same comments were made over a pint.

I was chatting to one of the staff last weekend and she said that whilst they appreciated the extra business from the away fans they will always try to look after the home regulars first.

And for York it is pretty much the opposite.

Hopefully we are getting to the stage where players of both teams will simply walk off the field if racist chants or actions are heard. It is then down to the civilised members of the crowd to identify the abusers so that action can be taken against them.
I have read that the PFA are now talking seriously about what should happen but again it will be made necessary by the complete inaction of the football authorities at all levels.

What is pleasing is that Norman Lamb is continuing his interest in Mental Health by setting up a fund to promote care for those suffering from such problems.

It is also beneficial that it is possible to have a much more open debate in general these days whereas problems used to be tucked away by individuals and organisations, including those involved in football.

From memory May 85 was when we were pipped for promotion by Cheltenham on the last day of the season. We needed to win and them to drop points but they won with a late goal.
I can't remember the name of the higher league.

Kevin Ready / Martin Coupe. 40? goals each in a season.

I managed to get to my first game yesterday, due to previous work commitments.
At half time I popped down to look at the revamped clubroom and, as others have stated, it is a vast improvement so well done to those responsible.
However I would like to make an observation. The queue to the ticket office wasn't the only queue of the afternoon. The queue for half time drinks stretched to the door. There were only two staff serving so goodness knows how many punters didn't get to part with their cash before the second half started.
Suggestions
 1. There are not enough bar staff ( although I have seen an advert on-line for staff so perhaps this is being addressed ).
And 2. The servery is not big enough. There are not enough beer taps and not enough room for the extra staff, when recruited, to work effectively.
The old Blue and Gold Club bars used to take either side of 1500 on a matchday, and that was 10 years ago so imagine what might be possible now.
