I want to be the one eyed dinosaur ' Do-you-think-he-saw-us '.

But on a serious note, there is a wealth of talent and experience out there waiting to be given the chance to be involved with fundraising BUT if the owner doesn't want to let people in then it ain't gonna happen.

I think a figure of 14 grand was mentioned one year: raised from the sporting dinner with guest speaker on the Friday evening and a Northern Soul dance on the Saturday.

The marquee was then used for the end of season function on Sunday lunchtime

General Discussion / Next season start date

I read an item today which suggested that Sept 5th or 12th is being tentatively considered as a restart date for step 6 and above. There was no mention of whether supporters will be allowed into grounds at that time.

He was shaken and stirred  every time he tried to catch a ball over his head...brilliant shot stopper but that's as far as it went.

It doesn't need to be ' doh ', Oberon. People are posting re items that they feel could be improved...that is positive and constructive criticism. They are also posting praise where they think it is appropriate.

Sadly social media loses all the tone and inflection that you would find if the same comments were made over a pint.

I was chatting to one of the staff last weekend and she said that whilst they appreciated the extra business from the away fans they will always try to look after the home regulars first.

And for York it is pretty much the opposite.

Hopefully we are getting to the stage where players of both teams will simply walk off the field if racist chants or actions are heard. It is then down to the civilised members of the crowd to identify the abusers so that action can be taken against them.
I have read that the PFA are now talking seriously about what should happen but again it will be made necessary by the complete inaction of the football authorities at all levels.

What is pleasing is that Norman Lamb is continuing his interest in Mental Health by setting up a fund to promote care for those suffering from such problems.

It is also beneficial that it is possible to have a much more open debate in general these days whereas problems used to be tucked away by individuals and organisations, including those involved in football.
