General Discussion / Re: Finishing position

Quinn. I got wind of the 'collection' and advised people to keep their money until they could be sure it would benefit the Club.

That is why he slagged me ( and others) off in the programme yesterday.

The man is an absolute spiv and has spent the last few weeks lashing out and being as awkward as he could be. I am not actually sure people would believe some of the stunts he has tried to pull recently.

Better times ahead hopefully.

Just about a tankful for the Bently by all accounts.

He was not a Happy Bunny.

And he expected a young girl to go through the Scunthorpe crowd with one of the buckets till one of the older lady staff said NO.

Nemisis, I knew the reason, I just wondered why somebody should query their status in the league. Having to groundshare happens from time to time eg Gloucester when their ground got flooded. I think we played them at Forest Green's ground.

Mall, do you not think the £300K of investment for next season is sitting on that famous table of yours.

Everyone can see the man is a busted flush except the man himself who is being as obstructive as he can to those who who do actually have a chance of stabilising our Club.

I voted yes and have confidence in the Trust Directors to act in the very best interests of its members.

This is surely why the Trust was formed in 2009 and the opportunity is now, subject to negotiations, ours to grasp.

I think Bal very much wants community and supporter involvement and I for one look forward to giving as much suport as I can.  :scarf: :scarf:

Rod, I think these also apply : bears and woods, eels and buckets, sacks and monkeys.

Quite a repertoire, all in all, as Jo has discovered.

Certain parts of the stand have long been called 'God's waiting room'.

Lots of regular supporters sadly no longer with us.

With reference to the raffle, I am sure there are loads of fundraising activities which could be put forward by the Trust and other supporters if there was enough interest among the supporter base in helping to organise them.

Agreed, Kitty.

Showing the flag round town to engage with Joe Public. as happened yesterday, showed a fresh and much needed approach to building our Club.

' The club is like a child to me'.

It's a shame he has never been able to grasp what the Club means to it's supporters. He would have had a far more vibrant business if he had.
