General Discussion / Re: King's Lynn Town FC v Weymouth Town

Do we really need another Manager to pay off ?  Getting a bit of habit.
And who would you replace him with at this time of the season.  Lynn's not very attractive for anyone at the moment. Lets see what happens at our next few home games!

In general terms football is not a good investment.  Only a handful of teams in the Premier League make a profit. How you make any profit in the National leauge premier is just about impossable. In Lynns case breaking even would be a good result..

Quote" If we can get 12 points in Feb!  Well we have got 11 points in all the games we have played so far. Think we would be lucky to get 12 extra points for the rest of the year.  Hopefully, I'm wrong. Win a couple of games and you get more confidence and maybe win a few more.  We need to score more goals and not concede too many..Can we do it?, I'm not so sure.

Can't see how we can avoid the drop Mallard! If we did then next season we would need a change most of our players.

The way I see it is, Makes no difference how much money you spend if you don't spend it wisely. Some of the players we have are a waste of space in my opinion.  One of the biggest problems we have is where we are located in England, however I can't see what difference it makes, but over the years it has   We had a better following when we were in a lower division, although we were winning games then.   Maybe this league is beyond our scope unless we have the infrastructure. SC has done a lot for this club and has got to where we are today..Can we go any further with our present set-up, I doubt it. Something has to change one way or another.  :laughcry:

General Discussion / Re: Southend (21st January)

Quote " Plus nothing wrong with the strikers we have just not being fed the ball in the right areas" Really..Not how I see it..We've had chance to score in some games and nothing from our strikers. And the other night when we lost on penalties, maybe they weren't fed too.

Its not midfielder players we need, its a Striker. we want striker who can score goals. Draws are no good to us now, we need wins and pretty quickly if we want to stay in this div.

Zain Walker "Midfielder" has returned. Would have rather had a striker.. You verdict please?

Going to be a hard game for both teams. We have improved but still lack goals and thats our biggest problem. Good luck and may the best team win on the day.

General Discussion / End of the line?
« on: January 12, 2022, 04:21:50 PM »
After the defeat last night againt Notts County, I think this is the end of the line. To be honest I never though we would do very well in this league. The standard in this league really does show the diffence. For over 40 years I'd allways hopped we could be in the football league and stay there. To stay even in this National League, You've got to have full time players and a good budget with really good players. We have a few,  but nowhere enough to complete at this level. Next year no way we can keep most of the same players and thats if we want any of them. My opinion is to rebuild for next year and with the new manager see what happens! and take it from there.. Just my opinion..

General Discussion / Re: Game off.
« on: January 08, 2022, 03:29:59 PM »
I thought it was the the referee who has final decision if the game is on or called off..If we had played and lost people would have said the pitch was so bad, it should have been called off.. Catch 22 in my opinion.

General Discussion / Re: Time for a change?
« on: November 14, 2021, 07:24:48 PM »
This has been a good debate! No easy answer and we all have our own views. I think we all agree something has to change to move forward.  Over the years I've always thought King's Lyyn should be in the main football League, maybe just a dream but other clubs have done it! At this time I'd settle for making ourselves known in this Div and staying here.
