Sad news. One of the best players to have ever played for the Linnets.

Well that was a lot better from the Lynn players. A draw would have been a fair result.

Too many questions and not enough time to answer them all!  :scarf:

Its a shame any sport gets involved in war, politics ect.  I Suppose this was inevitable given the circumstances..

Think ICís title winning NLN team would take this lot to the cleaners.  Even Simon Clark would give em a run for their money.
Couldn't agree more. This team played for each other and always looked like they would score goals..

Personally I think we will struggle on the pitch next season as much as we have done this season, unless all the big talk stops and some serious actions starts to take place.

And this is when we will be playing at a level that many will probably think we can win the title and bounce straight back.
Not with this team though. As you've said serious actions need to take place. I'm not even sure if the manager will be here next season! In some ways I'd like to see what he really can do at the start of the season and that's if he's allowed to.

Well the only good thing about the game was we didn't concede. Apart from that we looked like a team who have given up. We can't even beat teams at the foot of the table, says it all really! For one I'll be glad when the season has finished. One word sums it up really "Shambles"

Our fate is already sealed, however a few wins would be good. Quite a few players need to prove themselves if they want to play next year for us. Thats also true do we want them! Anyway good luck to the Linnets today  :scarf:

Whether Clunan has gone or not is just sentmental discussion, based on his outstanding contributions to the Club. Reality is that gone or not makes no difference to the prognosis. I do hope he can stay/return with/to this club whilst/when a new set up is  created hopefully no more than two levels down.

All this talk of a two league demotion has there been any whispers that SC will allow the Club to fail and re-form ? Talk of a new set up sounds a bit of a punt in the dark.   My feeling is SC will reevaluate whatís good and whatís not good about the club, add in some investment, get some good people in around him and go again
Been done too many times before..You can only fail a few times before the Linnets are gone forever. You only get so many chances!

From a personal point of view the Football I saw played by ICís teams at step 3 and then step 2 was the best Iíve seen at Lynn ( and away).   Off the Field was a mess.  Thatís a given.

Two great seasons football wise.  You disagree with that side of things Chilly ?

I get your point Mallard, however step 2 & 3 was at a low level compared to where we are now.  Surely the point in the lower divisions is to win that division get the promotion and hope you win in the next Div and get promoted... The goal is to play in the football League Two and that would be a tall order if you look who the teams are. For me staying in the National League mid table winning games regular would be my aim. A good run in the FA Cup would be good too. Just my honest opinion as I see it.

Anton, I think we are way, way off NL as 'a club' and unfortunately that is now being reflected on the pitch.  Personally, given all the turmoil there is likely to be during the off season, I think it would be an achievement to finish mid-table in NLN next season, hopefully we can then stabilise at that level and over time build things off the field that would support NLN, once (if) that has happened then we can think about NL again

Well its going to happen. Hopefully next year in NLN Kings Lynn can rebuild for the future. See what happens with the team and what the boss does!

« on: March 03, 2022, 12:34:35 PM »
Anyone think there is a need for another fans forum? Chairman and manager in the hot seat? :dontknow:

Its a good Idea but it will never work! In my opinion the Chairman and manager would never take part. They can do that on here if they wanted to. Why not just add a "Category" on the main board
and see what happens.
