Agree with m a hill about Toby   ---   shame he's gone being a local lad but he should and could have scored more goals. Similar to Dylan Edge who also didn't convert enough chances into goals.

Thanks for the sensible comments regarding the attendance. I would have been there but I cannot sit for 2 hours in minus temperatures for health reasons. Plus the weather forecast for the Attleborough area was for heavy snow plus strong winds so it made no sense to risk the journey. When it's a bit warmer I shall be at the Walks for sure !!

Agreed Mallard. Seems to be offside too often, falls over easily, can't score goals and forever moaning at the ref and teammates. Hopefully at the end of the season his contract won't be renewed and he can be moved on.

"The lady doth protest too much, methinks" is a quotation from the 1599/ 1600 play Hamlet by William Shakespeare. It has been used as a figure of speech, in various phrasings, to indicate that a person's overly frequent or vehement attempts to convince others of something have ironically helped to convince others that the opposite is true, by making the person look insincere and defensive"
As true then as it is today.

The pitch will always be an issue because it's situated in the Walks which has a high water table. So; the options are 1) move out of town, and the Council to sell the Walks for housing development (Note ; this would need an Act of Parliament !) plus where's the cash to come from to build a new stadium ?! 2) install a 3G pitch but where is 250K approx. needed to buy it ? 3) ask for guidance from ground staff at Carrow Road and spend money we don't have next summer to implement their recommendations 4) only let the 1st team play on it ? or 5) do nothing and just "get on with it".
It's a conundrum for sure.

Just a 5 minute walk from our house ! I can confirm it's a Rec ground and def no floodlights. Altho' there are limited lights around their training pitch.

I agree, Ryan should be given the chance to lead the line. Great header of the ball, good turn of pace, has a powerful shot, brave and enthusiastic. Could be a great decision..

"The worry has to be how can the gate go from 700 plus down to a paltry 300 plus.  Why are the fans not buying into it ?" .....  I'm afraid the very simple answer is that with 80% of the gate being over 65 (and me being one of them) then the prospect of sitting in the open for nearly 2 hours in near freezing conditions is not an option.

Took my 5.1/2 year old grandson yesterday to his first "real football match" as he described it. Very enjoyable from start to finish. Bought our tickets on-line with no problem. Stewards on the gate and on steps of the stand were smiling and friendly as were the 50/50 ladies and the gent in smart jacket halfway up the stairs to the stand. The guys I normally sit with were most welcoming as grandson was a little nervous. MOM definitely Quigz but not far behind were Toby and Jordan. Referee was OK as well ! Mind you grandson asked questions all thro' the game which, of course, is the way to learn. So a big THANK YOU to all concerned.
