I’m now looking for a big reaction on Tiesday and a win by at least three goals.
Did you go to the Chester game DougJR? We played well I thought and deserved to get at least a point. We dominated for most of the game, we just didn’t get that bit of luck in their box. Disappointing result, but certainly not the performance. Two wins at home to firstly Telford and Gloucester can get us back on track. Don’t agree that a win by 3 goals is necessary (would be nice), just so long as we get the win is fine with me.

Fair play to Chester, they defended well for 90 minutes, we didn’t. It was an entertaining game and we deserved something from it, but it wasn’t to be. Didn’t understand tge logic in taking Ponticelli off for Walker when we needed a goal and too many of the corners and free kicks were shockingly poor deliveries. Good to see Omotayo back, but he isn’t a finisher like Marriott was. Can’t fault the team effort today.

The first of 3 home games and what looks like the toughest against Chester tomorrow. The absence of the suspended Clunan and Barrett will weaken our line up. Not sure if Hargreaves is fit yet, but would certainly be a good time to have him back if he is. Can see us losing our unbeaten home league record against a very good Chester team, so going to predict KL 0-2 CC.

I very much doubt TW reads these posts and why should he. He will always do things his way and rightly so, we are doing pretty good after all. We will lose games, as good a team as we are, we are not unbeatable. It’s a work in progress and after the previous two disappointing seasons we are heading in the right direction. Just because we play against a team lower down doesn’t mean it’s a straight forward win, it just doesn’t work like that, Everton v Arsenal for example. Having two players sent off is disappointing, which certainly didn’t help. The refs don’t hate Lynn either, it would appear yesterdays ref was brandishing cards too easily, our own ill discipline cost us. If other teams now that, thet are likely to use it.

They are all tough games, just some more than others. Retaining Aaron Cosgrave until the end of the season is fantastic. I’m optimistic and going for a win. Any win will do, but going to predict 3 - 0. Hoping Barrett and Ponticelli both start and the new Jones too.

SC is doing his level best on Twitter to get the punters in. So at least someone is putting in the effort
It is a huge game on Tuesday with Fylde not playing, King’s Lynn Town FC will return to the top of the table if they beat Bradford Park Avenue - come down to the Walks and lend the boys a hand - kick off is 7.45pm and the ground will be open from 6pm
Thats two posts I’ve seen saying a win against Bradford will put us top, yes it will, but so would a draw. At home, we will be favourites and if we play to our potential, we will win. Cosgrave kooks impressive, really hope we can keep him until the end of rage season. With Ponticelli hopefully back in the starting line soon, those two will be a real handful for defences.

Just watched the highlights and Cosgrave definitely got the first goal. Great quick throw out from Paul Jones and a well worked goal. Super second goal too, real class. Good news is too, that Cosgrave wants to stay on until the end of the season. Hopefully that will come to fruition, I think he is the striker we’ve wanted for a while. Only on loan yes, but certainly looks the business. The post match interview from their manager was very refreshing too. Honest, very complimentary and said it as it was. Total respect to him and good luck to them for the rest of the season, I sincerely hope they avoid relegation. Well done and thank youTommy Widdrington for bringing the quality of football we are watching.

With Omotayo out for a while, TW was right to bring in a forward. Yes, Omotayo is our leading scorer, and although not prolific, he plays his part elsewhere. Hopefully he will be back soon and maybe we can hang on to Cosgrave too, for a bit, or end of season possibly. We obviously lost the coin toss yesterday, as we were made to swap ends and given the kick off. Had Peterborough Sports opted to kick off, we most probably wouldn’t have been 2-0 up after 4 minutes.

Not the prettiest game of football, but most importantly, 3 points. Good attendance too, sp all will be happy. New forward looked decent and scored too. Pitch wasn’t suited to flowing passing football, but considering that, we moved the ball around well in the first half. Ponticelli did ok and will be good to have him back to full fitness. No place for Ken Charles today, do wonder if he will be here for much longer, guess time will tell.

Good morning all. A win today would see us go too, so an added incentive. Hoping that the new forward plays, not too much point on having here, if he doesn’t. Could see that it may not go down with Charles though if the new man starts ahead of him. Thought we have needed someone new up front for a bit, so pleased we now have someone, even if it is on loan, but of course that could be extended. Great to see that Aaron had his red card rescinded too, rightly so as well.

Dillification does NOT advocate an philosophy of “all out attack”. A selection that expects defenders or defensive midfielders to (largely) do the attacking is always unlikely to succeed in dominating the game, and indeed, scoring. I appreciate we are depleted by injuries at the moment, but the Blyth commentator summed up the thought I had when I saw the team sheet. Halfway through the game he said “KLT not showing much going forward, and not playing as well as we expected”. We were “going forward” as effectively as Dillification expected, and forecast! And I don’t think the Doncaster line-up was defensive. See you next week!
Dilly, from the players available to TW, who would you have had different and for who in your starting line up? Lynn: P Jones, Callan-McFadden, Crowther, Coulson, Denton, A Jones, Oxlade-Chamberlain (Charles), Hughes, Widdrington (Ponticelli), Barrett, Stephens (Keller), Subs: Fleming, Charles, Keller, Ponticelli, Blair. Booked: Widdrington Was talking to a friend at work today and he seems to think, we need to bring in a new forward. TW did say he was looking at bringing at least one new player in soon, but didn’t say what position it would be. Looking forward to Saturday and hopefully we can get a win against PS. Hope we do, because we have a couple of the top sides soon after, after which we will have a better idea of how we are looking.

We don’t have a given right to beat a team just because they are at the ottomans end of the table. Dilly, you make it sound so simple, just put out an attacking line up and we will win. We need to realise that we are not unbeatable, there are two teams both trying their best to win. The previous two seasons weren’t the best to watch from a Lynn point of view, this season is so much better, but I don’t think we are the finished article by any means. If we don’t gain promotion, so what, it’s not tge be all and end all. If we do, then great, but we would need to strengthen. Yes, Boston’s loanee Chadwick scored, a solo run and fantastic strike. Their defence wasn’t so good with their loanee keeper losing possession and gifting Gloucester’s first goal. Going back to Dilly’s all out attack approach, I’ve said this before, our line up at Doncaster was set up defensively and we not only won, but dominated for large periods. I think yesterday, with so many regulars unavailable, the team almost picked itself. A point away yesterday really wasn’t so bad, other than Fylde, all our other rivals didn’t win.

Hargreaves is a massive miss. For me he makes things tick. What surprised me the most is already without Ponticelli then Gold being out we were going to be really lightweight up top. So thought Tommy would have brought in a loaner to do a job up front for us. Maybe he thought it was a bottom of the League side so we had enough to get away with it. Giving him more time to bring someone in.
Too many people expect us to win every game. We came away with a point and Darlington lost at home, so not too bad. I’m sure TW and SC both realise that a new forward would be of benefit, but finding one isn’t easy. We have got a really good squad with goals coming from all over. As TW says, if you don’t win, then try not to lose, so a point and a clean sheet away are both good. I watched Boston v Gloucester yesterday and our football is much better. Boston’s attendance was 1316, not bad for a team struggling at the wrong end of the table.

Yes, he is their new manager. Their next game is at home to Peterborough Sports on Wednesday in the Northants Senior Cup. Good luck to him on his new appointment. Went to Boston v Gloucester today. Boston got an injury time penalty to equalise.
