On to Bedworth Saturday, should be a win for us on paper, but can't afford to take them too lightly,I will go with a 3-0 to us. Don't forget to let people know if you have empty seats,or if you would like to go. :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

After the debacle of the weekend has past we move on to the coming game on Saturday,is everyone fit and how do you think we will do? I feel we can snatch this one 2-0? Don't forget if you are driving over and have spare seats let people know, or if you need a seat then ask. :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

Calling for fans to get behind the reserves, I think they should back the reserves team, should be the future of the club, but how many make it through? :dontknow:

General Discussion / Christmas.
« on: December 18, 2018, 04:03:49 AM »
Over the Christmas period we have two games within the space of three days, budget stretching I know,do people think that even one pound off the price for both games could attract a few more? I would like to think that handled correctly that we coud have two gates of 800+,and that pound saved would probably be spent in the bar or cafe? So what do you think, would you go for it,attend both games and it is basically a free drink? :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

General Discussion / Rushall Olympic.
« on: December 09, 2018, 10:19:43 PM »
So on to Saturday we go,will we have any incomings before then, are the fans ready to turn up in their droves and just hope to see all those chances converted in one game? Will Stan, Mallard and Grissles meet for a drink before during or after the game, maybe Jack will join in too? Will Auntie Doris be revealed? I am going to go out on a limb here,4-0 to Lynn attendance 745. Last game before Christmas, and don't forget if you have not already purchased your FOTL raffle tickets they will be on sale during the game, and drawn afterwards I believe, hopefully in the bar? So come on lets all get behind the team for a final push before Christmas. :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

General Discussion / Go again Wednesday.
« on: October 28, 2018, 07:13:22 PM »
So thanks to a last gasp winner from Jack Frohawk on Saturday we get another bite of the cherry Wednesday night, will many see this as an important game? I would love to see a large turnout to cheer the boys on,can't be no lower than the attendance at Buxton (258),but the highest attendance in the vase on Saturday was only 513,would be nice to see if we could do better? :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

General Discussion / Fawkes in the Walks.
« on: October 24, 2018, 11:18:28 PM »
I understand that the ground will be open again this year for Fawkes in the Walks, not 100% certain if the bar or the cafe will be open,or if food will be on sale. It will be an opportunity to watch the fireworks without standing in mud,and further away from the smoke. :welcome:  :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

General Discussion / And so to Saturday.
« on: October 17, 2018, 10:12:43 AM »
Fantastic win Tuesday night, five goals, five different scorers, definitely the way to go. So on to Saturday, visit of Rushden and Diamonds, would be great to see a huge turnout for this one, they always take a fair few away so we should go to outnumber them. Forget about the bore draw from last week, look at the score from last night, get down there in numbers and make some noise, as I have always said, take a mate and swell the gate. Just hope they have extra bar staff on to cope with the demand, last thing you want is to be waiting to be served. See you all there on Saturday.  :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:  :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

General Discussion / On to Tuesday.
« on: October 14, 2018, 10:02:41 PM »
So what do we think will happen Tuesday night, will we finally find some shooting boots? I feel the team should be coming out fired up and throw everything at them, maybe a few longer range shots as we know we have the players who can do it? Once a couple of goals have come our way I can only see us going upwards. We also have the reserves playing as well so maybe if not travelling why not come down and give them your support? :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

Just sitting there and pondering things as I do,and I was wondering what you would make your pet project if you were to join the FOTL committee? I think one of my priorities would be to improve the PA system, because unles you are in the vicinity of the main stand it is just garbled. Would be interesting to hear other views? :coffee:

Update from FOTL

Following the committee meeting held last night, Sue Wilson has agreed to take over as chairman on a 6 month basis.

Player of the month vote and 100 club draw will now be administered by Jamie Heaphey, so any queries regarding these please speak to him. To save costs, 100 club membership cards will no longer be issues – you will continue to have your number as previous, and a list of all membership names & numbers will be on the FOTL notice board near to the café entrance.

If anyone has not renewed or is interested in joining the 100 club it costs just £2 a month and you have the chance to win £75 or £25 EVERY month. Please contact us for details – this is a good money maker for us with all proceeds going to help all teams involved with the club.

Payments regarding the 12th man win bonus club can be given to Sue in the club shop on matchdays.

£1,400 was handed over to the club last Saturday regarding player sponsorship; there are still a couple of players left to sponsor. Again, enquire at the club shop or speak to any committee members.

We are asking for a couple more committee members to assist with the running of the supporter’s club. If you are interested, please speak to any committee member – meetings are held once a month and even if you can only offer an hour a week there is always something that can be done!

Details to follow soon with regards the annual Christmas raffle.

The supporters club last season donated around £17,500 towards the club. With £2,500 of this coming from the 12th man win bonus club.

For those who don’t know the committee members are: Sue Wilson, Jamie Heaphey, Zoe Sandle, Paul Bland, Stephen Blake, Mark Mallows, Tim Smith & Sue Cross.
