Quote from: Mallard on January 08, 2026, 05:29:45 PMDidn't  take long did it.  At least The Trust are now on the inside so I'm sure they will be filling in the membership with all that's going on.

Really ? You'd honestly expect the Trust to update its members on the media team ? What next, when the tea lady changes ?  :laughcry:

I think that you will find it is a tea person these days. :laughcry:  :laughcry:  :laughcry:

Quote from: John H on December 06, 2025, 10:26:41 PMOutclassed, best team won.
Chester's strip colour was too similar to ours, surprised the refereee allowed that, was especially difficult to distinguish in the second half as it git dark.
Marriott out injured for 6 plus weeks, Gyasi loaned out (won't be back). Our number 9 say no more.
Morgan Williams man of the match, got subbed off. For Macclesfield, I would like to see all 3 of the on loan players start and a replacement for our number 9.

Wonder if Jack is busy? :laughcry:  :laughcry:  :laughcry:

Quote from: Mallard on December 06, 2025, 08:25:27 PMCully was quite scathing  of his team in his post match interview.   Described it as men against boys.  That was a worry as at the fans forum he said the way forward was to get youngsters in who could be improved.

Looked a very limited bench once again.  Maybe Vera could tell us if Bal will give him a few quid to improve things ?
It's ok Vera  I won't hold my breath. I understand why you might not be able to answer questions

Need to bring some old heads and fighters back in,people like Gashy,Fryatt and Macca to start? Not necessarily them but people of their ilk,not afraid to go in!

Quote from: Mallard on November 21, 2025, 04:45:51 PMRoger Taylor didn't he make a few Wimbledon semi's ?

He is getting on a bit now, so if a semi is all he can manage these days, it hardly unexpected!

Quote from: Coastal linnet on November 17, 2025, 12:32:40 PMThe players looked very lively in the warm up and the first twenty minutes but then looked worn out. Is the intensity of full time energetic training too much for them;particularly the more " senior" players?

Too much for them,part time players put in a 40+ hour shift in labour intensive jobs up and down the country,still train every week and get a fraction of the money! Players should make every effort to stay fit,teddy Sheringham played top flight into his 40s and probably others do.I also believe that Jackie Gallagher competed in his 60s,I may be corrected on that one? No excuses for lack of fitness,many people play for fun 2 or 3 times a week and work! :banghead;  :banghead;

Quote from: Blue_and_GoldThere will also be a prize draw for the main stand naming rights!

I take it that Bal didn't manage to retain the previous (anonymous) sponsor of the main Stand.  :dontknow:

The name of the anonymous sponsor was engraved on the underside of the infamous table in hieroglyphics. :laughcry:  :laughcry:  :laughcry:

Quote from: Grissles Oleary on November 01, 2025, 10:15:06 PMI have been informed that as in previous years the club will open the ground for Fawkes in the Walks.Hard standing and refreshments, and a roof if it rains. :scarf:  :scarf:

That's good to hear Gris. My poor old bones and discomfort in large crowds makes the ground a great place to hide and still watch the fireworks 🎇🎇🎇

Hopefully there will be food and drink available as usual, as a hot drink warms the cockles of my heart... amongst other places...

Do you know whether we will still be able to sit in the stand this year ?

People have been allowed to sit in the stand in previous years, front seats are best. :scarf:
