General Discussion / Re: IF, we go up.

The situation at Barrow.

Makes you think.

With the pitch cover donations, I believe we need a totaliser similar to what they’ve got here, but the club have revealed this is not going to happen 😬

I personally think all supporter donations for the frost sheet and other 'capital' type equipment should go through the Blue & Gold Trust GDF account - the Trust HAVE to account for any monies received in a proper manner and they have deemed to keep this account separate from 'normal' Trust funds and transfer money to the club as and when specific projects are identified with detailed costings.  It is a real shame that the Trust have not continued fund raising for this fund for now as it was very much a win-win for both Trust and Club, fingers crossed it can be reinstated at some point in the future.

Would be nice to see it reinstated, and maybe another well supported quiz to kick it off?

General Discussion / KIDDERMINSTER.

I know Kidderminster are much lower down the league than York, but they will still come to win,be nice to see this game pushed and advertised as much as the York game? We all know that they won't bring as many as York did,but we need to find as many as we had for the York game? Also with Norwich being away that day perhaps we will see the ever growing band of Canaries increase, time to give all the support possible, shout them towards the league title. :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

General Discussion / Re: York on Saturday.

I did the collection in the stand, along with another, and apologies for not getting around everyone as intended.

However after being told by 1 fan “the club should be paying why are we helping” and by another “why are you helping Cleeve” I finished doing the area I was in and took the money raised downstairs. I spoke to a couple of other volunteers/staff who had no issue with me not finishing the whole stand.

Once again, apologies for not getting to everyone but hopefully the collection will take place at next home game. If not Mark Hearle is at the club during the week if anyone wants to make a donation.
You lads doing great job. , shame you had to come across some negative remarks some people doesn’t get what supporting a club means  , it’s the heart and soul of communities and love to get involved .
Be interesting to see next attendance see how many will keep coming or waiting for next big game to show their faces  :dontknow:

I think a good win against Blythe on Saturday will see at least 2000 at the Kidderminster game. :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

Amazing to see 4000+ fans at King's Lynn yesterday, not only was it the highest attendance in the league, it is also the highest attendance in the league so far for the season. Not even York have passed 4000 for a league game this season. 😀

Could anyone in their right mind see the Napier turning away people who spend all year for a handful of people who they will never see again? :laughcry: :laughcry: :laughcry:

A little something I did notice from yesterday’s game, was that the 50/50 total prize was close to £150, and for a game with not even 700 supporters, this is a great total really. From memory we struggled to sell about that many tickets with attendance being nearly double that.

Can we really push these sales against York, believe it’s only £1 a ticket. Let’s all help the club reach its goals, and keep the ball rolling! Keep the wheels on our bus!

Need to get the pretty girls selling them again, done so much better.

We didn't disgrace ourselves, in my opinion we were a shade better, their only real shot on target was the penalty. Some of their fans said it was one of their better games this season, think they raised their game for us.

General Discussion / Re: Adam Marriott - Interest From Other Clubs
« on: January 09, 2020, 12:28:25 PM »
From Greg Plummer's Twitter:

Greg Plummer
Just spoken to @officialKLtown  director of football @Backie9  who says the stories linking striker Adam Marriott are just pure speculation.
The frontman remains on contract at The Walks and there has been no official interest from any other club at this moment.

The most interesting word in this item is "official"  :dontknow:

Though an official statement would be good?

With many people planning to let the train take the strain for the Ebbsfleet game,if possible why not meet with people at the station and form a group? This way you can take advantage of group rates, save a few pennies where you can? Maybe someone from the club if taking the train could take some football cards to raise some funds? :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

Beat Ebbsfleet on Saturday more money from the prize fund, a share of the gate money, big gate for the York game and we should have the funds for a player or two? :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
