General Discussion / Re: Good Grub

Come on Loop's cut em slack.  Its pre-season nothing games.  We are still missing a good few players.  No chance to see the deadly duo of Mettam and Sands in tandem as yet.  We have been promised goals goals goals. So watch this space.

Seems like things off the pitch have stepped up a notch or 2 since Cleeve has taken control from Buster.  Then hard for things to have gotten any worse.  The catering all seems good. New guy bringing in loads of extra revenue from commercial enterprise.  Once Setch gets them all at it from the opening day of the season the Operation Promotion will be under way.

On the commercial side is Setch still involved in this ? If not is he still employed full time by the Club as he was under Buster ?
I'm sure setch will step it up and I fancy promotion this year and a little wager with mr grissly for charity ,will mr cleeve come and stand with the fans like buster did or he going to stay in exec box like an Italian godfather

What should we go for this season loops?

It can cost a grand for a full page advert in a local paper at times, more so for a back page as well as a full page on a Tuesday.  So with guaranteed exposure for 9 months of the year in three papers, plus any self-generated media as well as well the match day entertainment and hospitality i don't think £20k is a lot to ask..........

It's probably worth more in advertising speak, if the sponsor used the corporate side of the side to network and entertain clients and potential clients, the income generated for the sponsor will be a damn site more than £20k if played right.

One question though..... who said anything about £20k?  has that come from the club?  I had a two hr meeting with the Chairman and no costs were mentioned to me.  the advertising booklet going around says price on application....

Everything is negociable

He states that no costs were discussed during his meeting. Fair enough, but did the Chairman say "everything is negotiable". If not, is it really the place of a Trust Director to say such things?

If the Club are out there trying to get 50k for kit sponsorship (as are the rumours), would they really want people broadcasting the words "everything is negotiable"?

Somehow I doubt it!

If things are negotiable, that's for the Club to say!

Have signed up for this one and would encourage people to do the same.  Great Idea.

Full credit to Backie for  really engaging with the fans with all these new ideas.  The Guy deserves to take all the credit for bringing the Football Club into the 21st century.

To Think there were certain people who didn't want him at the club and were very sneering when I first mentioned his name.  He has and is doing a fantastic Job both on and off the Pitch.

Lets hope we can keep hold of him and that he is looked after by those above him.

I have to agree, is Backie the only computer literate person at the club, you have to wonder?  :oldman"

Nice to see that you put the word 'computer' in there, lol. :laughcry: :laughcry: :laughcry: :laughcry: :laughcry:

« on: June 29, 2016, 12:59:46 PM »
Just spoke to the main man our chairman
And the membership is a straight £25 no vat
Griss it doesn't include the Car Parking that's a separate fee we have to donate to the hospital.

So will all car park fees be going to the Hospital or will the club be taking a commission? I ask because just this week the hospital have announced profits from car parking and I wondered if the club would get a commission for selling tickets? Also will the club be providing someone to monitor the car park or will the hospital, and if any fines re levied will the club get a cut of that too? :dontknow:

You will be after 10% of the admission and the programme next Griss :laughcry:

Does this mean that the bar and club shop will be open for reserve games, and bar discount available on all visits to the club bar,not only match days? Such as if they ever get around to putting on social events?

Hi mate,

just spoke to the chairman, the 10% will also be on bottled beers as well, The main bar will not be open on reserve games, we are lucky enough to be aloud the presidents suite which we have never been aloud before (To entertain the res sponsors) so that will need staffing, its not financially viable to have all three bars open on a reserve game Griss, but I am pretty sure if its a local derby or a some sort of big match then we could possibly have it open mate...... all good ?

Will the membership allow 10% off the parking deal too?
