General Discussion / Re: Another departure

Cleeve been thinning them out for a while now so will soon only have people left that support him instead of supporting the club.some people have nailed their colours to the mast of the good ship Cleeve  :sinking:

Will soon be as you predicted Nikki with SC as the top dog and Jamie Farr as his right hand man. I can see him taking JF on on a permanent basis and having him do all the organising etc.

We really are stuck firmly between a rock and a hard place.....If IC were to leave it will be incredibly difficult if not impossible to recruit a quality replacement.

Given the current parlous state of the club with rumour and uncertainty rife, we are hardly an attractive career advancement proposition?

Well things have certainly advanced over the day. Can’t say I’m too optimistic about what will happen now. SC is certainly in a sticky predicament. Wonder if he will get many applications 😬

I think Cleeve will take charge with Jamie Farr as his assistant.

Jamie Farr isn’t a football man is he ? Figures space and building regs etc maybe but I don’t think he would be assistant manager at a kids little league let alone national league. Although it’s Lynn anything can happen I guess

People on social media calling for him to be sacked. Is this the right option? Will that help an already unsettled club ? Is IC holding SC to ransom here … doing it on purpose? Should SC bite the financial bullet and sack him? Who’s going to replace a sinking ship? Surely two grown men can put their differences aside and have an honest and frank conversation. Perhaps get Jamie Farr to sit in and play mediator as he seems to be the only one left that the chairman tolerates or perhaps even likes.

Where is Coleman today?

Was said elsewhere that he had “family issues” make of that what you will as said issues were not enough to stop him attending the ground and watching the game …

Maybe it’s the cynic in me Tony.  That looks a calculated article aimed at the Manager.  Wealdstone are part time and not conceding.  If we didn’t play out from the back we would not get in possession in our defensive third leading to goals conceded. All the set pieces for us haven’t produced every much etc etc.

I’m sure I have got it all wrong, and it’s all about nothing and just filling column inches.

I think you’re right. I think it’s directed at the Manager and I think SC would love nothing more than to find a reason to get rid of IC. The only thing stopping him right now is the hefty payoff

Just about the only thing that is 'cheap'.

Entry price dropped, improved and cheaper food menu, now a drop in bar prices, should he put on a bus to pick people up? :bus: I am not his greatest fan,but he is trying? :dontknow:

Definitely nice to see a slightly more positive post. Definitely someone is trying - and he’s coming on board with some changes.

General Discussion / Davis

Well that’s Davis back to Milwall … probably one of the only new players that showed any creativity and pace and we let him go . What the heck is going on with the club at the min ? Doesn’t seem a happy place and SC seems to be on the path of destruction to bring down the club. Nobody decent will be left there soon and anyone with a quarter of a brain cell would be distancing themselves from the club and SC.

Who's gonna pass messages between SC and IC now then ?? Hope the club has got a good supply of post-it notes

I’m sure there are some only too willing to be the gofer for SC.
Seems to be a bit of a theme going on at the moment, with people appearing to distance themselves from Cleeve and the Club for various (given) reasons. Interesting though, that they all appear to have left a foot in the door so they can make a return when it suits them.
Backie will prob be back IF AND WHEN the team pull together and start getting results … until then he doesn’t want the link to a “sinking ship”

Some people do what they do for a love of the club (wonderful stewards etc) others do it because they only love the success … and SC seems to reward them more than those that remain loyal winning or losing !

He really doesn’t. He did however serve a ban for his previous comments. Clearly his eye problem is something he’s somewhat conscious of and it’s hit a nerve. Not condoning him there but Wrexham fans absolutely obliterated him all over twitter

General Discussion / Segregation Area
« on: November 15, 2021, 06:48:34 AM »
It looked on Saturday like something had been taken on board - the segregation area width appeared to have been doubled - more stewards in between Home and away fans and some sort of fabric hanging to stop things being launched between home and away fans.
Rumour also has it that a new PA system is being sorted too although unsure when and it’ll come at quite the expense… that might be a blessing in disguise let’s hope the new one is fit for purpose.

I’m sure Coleman has played almost every game too … and I only recall Bowry missing one or 2. Bird looked in a lot of pain Saturday.

Hard to disagree with much of that CurlyDaisy.

If someone gets into the ground on a U16 ticket there is naming and shaming. This incident, once again, has gone without comment on a certain Twitter account. :dontknow:

Well no comment from SC is probably a good indication that it’s being taken seriously by police (hopefully anyway). That or he genuinely isn’t worried as it’s not losing him any money.

Surely Jamie Farr can see what everyone else can see.  There were issues with the set up from the York City games of two years ago.

Surely it is up to Jamie to be proactive rather than reactive.  Anyone can see it’s an accident waiting to happen.

I’m sure Jamie Farr can see that there were issues and I believe he even took a couple of hits himself at the weekend. From what’s been posted and how the club seems to work at the minute I would say his hands are somewhat tied… by both the SAG meeting committee and by the chairman.
