So so disappointing…. Mid-table performance. Play-offs would be amazing now.

Anything less than three points today and I fear for the play-offs...we're now running out of games with others still having them in hand. I know it's better to have the points rather than games in hand, but...

With most games being postponed a loss would put us in a difficult situation with teams below having several games in hand. A win is really essential to maintain any pressure on others - but it ought to be achievable. If it isn't...then I suspect we'll be mid-table at best by the end of the season.

Sorry to be a voice of reason!!?  Last year we struggled big time and AL came in and saved us from relegation. This year, to think we might win the League is fanciful. You can’t transform a failing team into a championship winning side in less than one season…can you?  From the outset of this season a play-off place would have been an achievement and we’re in the mix for that. Let’s not get above ourselves. We’re not yet a club that could live in the National League itself. We need to build in all respects. All teams will drop points against so-called poorer teams - just look at Curzon yesterday. It will happen to us again before May as it will to others. Let’s just be positive.

After Scarborough that’s a disappointing result. Consistency will come…I hope!

I guess we shouldn’t get too optimistic. Let’s face it, last season was a struggle and to suddenly go to title contenders isn’t realistic. If we stay up without too much trouble then that’s good. If we challenge for a play-off place then that’s a bonus. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We need a season to rebuild and stabilise a previously failing enterprise. We’ve had a decent start and let’s face it, we’re still well-placed despite a second loss.

Seriously disappointing today…but who would have predicted our recent form?  Let’s just chalk it up and move on to ensure we stay up. Then next season is guaranteed and another story.

Well said TonyM. What we don’t know is the real financial situatiion and what AL has to play with. It may be his hands are tied and he has few options other than to look for players available on loan. I fear the worst this season but I would guess we have what we have until the end…if we get out of jail I will be delighted and look forward to next season.

I’m far from happy as a long-standing supporter but how many of us would sink money into the Club as Mr Cleeve has done?  We just have have to cut the manager some slack and trust he can turn things around. Changing again would serve no purpose.

I knew and said we’d struggle this year but didn’t really think we’d go down. After 35 minutes tonight I’d say it was now a certainty that we’ll be relegated. Sad…

I agree completely Linnet. I know some feel otherwise but I think we'll be better off without him in the long run. He could have been a real asset but there were serious question marks ongoing over fitness, motivation etc.  Maybe he's his own worst enemy?

Sorry we lost but not a big deal as the Trophy isn’t important unless you’re in a Division above. League issues are far more crucial. It sounded as though we played OK but a bigger effort on Tuesday would be better as points are far more important. Again, a point would be an amazing result on Tuesday.

Brilliant performance and brilliant win. Congratulations to the manager and all the players. One match doesn’t make a season so let’s stay grounded. We won’t suddenly shoot up the NLN and beat all teams we come across but let’s enjoy the moment and hope for better things in the coming months.
