Exactly JohnH. Our own lack of discipline was a problem. In our position we shouldn’t lack discipline especially when it must have been apparent that the Ref was card happy. I know it’s easy to say and you can get up in the moment but we can’t afford to have good players missing. We have a squad that is as good a one as I can remember, if not better, and I’m completely behind TW. We have to put yesterday behind us move forward. Let’s hope it galvanises everyone and Tuesday we get a stunning win ahead of next Saturday’s tricky game.

The more I ponder on today the more disappointed I am. We’re top of the League and should be playing positively and with energy etc. in my days of playing sport, when you lead from the top/front you don’t believe you’re going to lose and run on belief, adrenalin and so forth. There are no easy games but with respect to Buxton we shoild have been capable of three points with a draw as second best. Look how many points they’ve dropped at home! Artificial pitch or not there are no excuses for how we performed. Even a bad referee shouldn’t be able to thwart a decent performance. Unless we get our act together, and quickly, we’ll be sucked into the playoffs where anything could happen. We could end the season with nothing and that would be a real shame.

We had better have one hell of a good reaction on Tuesday night or we’re going to lose out to AFC Fylde.

Agreed. Especially when some results went our way. Once again I think we started with too defensive a line-up..and two players sent off is not acceptable.

This was inevitable. Sadly, he didn’t quite make it with us but good luck to him in the future.

Not unexpected...but we now have to get half a season into just three months...even assuming no more games are postponed!

Anyone know when a pitch inspection is likely? Presumably there’s one later today?

Yet another postponement coming up for sure. Let’s hope the break helps the players rest and they come back for the second half of the season really fired up to take this League by storm.

Fair enough…. I may be being a little pessimistic but we have to improve our away form now but Fylde have momentum and seem to be able to pull out results when we struggle - look at how many late goals they get! Anyway, I hope I’m wrong and we do succeed. Fingers crossed big time!!

If Tuesday night’s game goes ahead then, after today, it has become something of a ‘must win’. AFC Fylde are on a roll and unless we can disturb that I’m not sure who can. A draw wouldn’t be the end of the world but lookimg at what they have left, they have the easier second half to the season.

This is non-sensical. If we are genuinely serious about competing at this level (or above) then appropriate covers or whatever other system might be best-employed to deal with adverse weather must be a good business investment. Climate change is going to mean potentially colder winters but notwithstanding that the present conditions are not exceptional for this time of year. If previous covers have disappeared somehow or for some reason then we should now forget about those (regrettable as that may be) and focus on the future. There seems little point in going full-time on the field if we don’t mirror that investment off the field. I know it’s easy to be critical and I don’t want to simply sound off…. A positive, constructive and maybe innovative way forward has to be sorted, and sooner rather than later. Who knows, we could have further frozen pitches in the coming weeks and then have unprecedented fixture congestion?

If there are, indeed, covers then what the heck is the problem?! Are we serious about progressing? If they’re not used then a big disservice is being done to both the players and supporters.

That’s crazy…after warning forecasts and reassurances during the day to postpone at the last minute is unacceptable to all involved - home fans included.

Too defensive is certainly no good. We’re top of the League and need to be positive. If we then lose, at least we will have tried but if we’re negative and lose then we have only ourselves to blame. Let’s make a statement to other teams and show how good we really are…

Thanks for the update. If it goes ahead then lets hope we get a point. Three would, in all honesty, be something of a surprise but then I also think we’re due a performance and good win so maybe…just maybe…?
