Thomas - Fryatt - McAuley - Blake Tracy
Jones - Clunan
Limb - Gash - Richards

Subs: Hilliard - Hawkins, Parker - Stewart - Roche

General Discussion / Friendlies - Progress

King's Lynn vs Fakenham.

A game of two halves - literally. Simon Clarke put out a separate team for each half and gave some fringe players from Reserves some game time, notably Edge and McLeish who both impressed with some intelligent play.

New lads gave some good performances and some regulars had a chance to impress. Rumour Control circulated that Hawkins has not yet found favour with t' manager (?)

Problems last night (for fans) was that there was no Player List so we were left watching with little knowledge of who was who. Can we get a Player List of who is playing in which numbered shirt for next games  :dontknow:

Whoever was playing in 1st half in No17 gave a good performance. Who was No6?

It will take a little time for team to gel and fans to be able to recognise new lads.

Definitely missed seeing Cameron Norman's attacking runs but new No2 from Kettering played well.

General Discussion / News From The Walks
« on: June 22, 2018, 09:32:35 PM »
Passing by The Walks today and the gates were open so I popped my head in. Our "Kit Man" was there so I had a word.

Several interesting subjects arose:

Matty Castellan has been training with the team - coming back  :dontknow:

The Pitch has been widened by 1m each side to 65yds wide (so back to previous seasons).

An Astro-Turf strip (approx 2-3yds wide) will be laid on both sides of the Pitch Sideline - apparently it is a 2nd hand bit that has been sourced by Mr Cleeve  :comeon: :comeon:. That will ensure a nice surface for the Assistant Referee's to run on.  :laughcry:

Some extra Shingle has been laid to the side of the Pitch.

The Pitch has been re-seeded and is looking good - the new drainage runs are still sub-siding and being in-filled regularly - we don't want anyone turning an ankle in a rut. Groundsman was there with his wheelbarrow as we spoke.

The Goalmouth (6yd box) at the Tennyson End has been raised as it had been worn into a large rut. Presumably that is both ends.

Pitch getting a good watering day and night and Kit Man is going in evenings(9pm) and early mornings (3am) to change sprinkler positions - that's dedication so thanks must be extended to him.  :worship: :comeon: :worship:

As I write there are 19 Days to go until the 1st Pre-Season Friendly and 54 Days until the first Central Premier League Season starts on 11th August 2018.

Who will be in that King's Lynn Town FC Central Premier League team?

Who are confirmed so far?

With all the bickering and snide remarks from  some Forum Members surely there should be  similar option as on Facebook to block other members posts. That way we could select whose posts or comments we read and be able to restrict posts from those who annoy or anger us.

General Discussion / For the Run In - Who's Fit, Who's not?
« on: April 15, 2018, 04:58:06 PM »
Ryan Fryatt and Michael Clunan picked up knocks recently and Leon Mettam was injured in warm up. Tom Siddons has not featured in the last two games (Kettering and Slough), is Tom carrying an injury?

So, who's fit and who's not? Who will be available and who will Ian Culverhouse be resting/protecting during our St Ives (H) and Chesham (A) in preparation for the Play-Offs?

General Discussion / Merthyr on Saturday
« on: April 06, 2018, 09:30:24 AM »
We all seem to be focussing on Kettering next Thursday but, we have an important game against Merthyr Town FC tomorrow.

Lynn need to maintain the pressure on Kettering, Weymouth and of course Hereford. Even if we don't catch Hereford (that is in their hands really) we need 2nd place for home davantage in the Play Off's.

General Discussion / Hereford v King's Lynn - Saturday 10th March 2018
« on: March 06, 2018, 08:39:20 PM »
Not much chatting on this site about the 2nd biggest game (so far) of the Season. (Biggest was our Home game against Hereford.)

Is there any news of team fitness? Will we be taking a decent number of Subs and starting with a strong team?

If we can start the game fast and furious we could catch Hereford on the hop - their heads certainly went down when we scored our equaliser and that helped raise the crowd and galvanised the lads into believing they could win it - and they did.

I shall be at the game cheering the team on and reporting as much as I can.

General Discussion / LIVE ONLINE
« on: February 24, 2018, 07:20:24 PM »
Well, today against Tiverton we might as well not had the Live Online Link.

Both Tiverton Town FC and FOTL Twitter was limited to HT 0-0 and Team News. A very poor show by Tiverton Town FC regarding Twitter Tweets to be Re-Tweeted on our Link.

211 Fans attended (oops sorry that was Tweeted by Tivvy) but no one bothered to report any progress on their Twitter.

Never mind - I shall be going to Hereford and I will report (not Twitter Tweets) via the Live Online Link (if it is up and running).
