No Match Today, The Fans Will Stay Away.

A Play on the 60's song: No Milk Today (my love has gone away). by Herman's Hermits.

As Lynn have no game this weekend will Ian Culverhouse take the opportunity to have a sneaky look at Slough, who we have two games still to play.

Have any travel arrangement been thought about for our big game Away to Hereford on Saturday 10th March.  :dontknow:

Such a big game should be attended by as many Lynn fans as possible. Maybe a   :scarf: :bus:

General Discussion / Are Fans Treading on Thin Ice - Slander and Libel
« on: January 18, 2018, 08:39:04 AM »
Threads on this Forum do get heated at times, noticeably where Stephen Cleeve is mentioned. Some verbal comments if overheard could be Slanderous whilst written comments might be bordering on Libel.

Are some fans treading a very fine line? I would be very careful regarding what is posted as it might come back and bite the poster on the bum (wallet).

It's a good job King James I banned duelling as some of us might be "called out" by Mr Cleeve and meet at dawn at The Walks with a choice of footballs or boots at Ten Paces.

General Discussion / Kettering Town - New Year's Day
« on: December 30, 2017, 12:13:32 PM »
From Kettering's website:

The Club would like to announce the signing of Tyrig Hunte. A strong powerful striker who has scored 6 goals in 17 appearances for Aylesbury United. The 19-year old has also played for Aylesbury FC, a loan period at Wantage Town and Oxford City.

General Discussion / The Pitch
« on: December 09, 2017, 11:26:27 PM »
Today, at the Reserves game the pitch was awful. Is the pitch going to stand up to all the games being played on it?

I can see some postponed games coming up with the state of an "improved" pitch later this winter.

General Discussion / Who is That at the Bottom of the League?

Gosport are off the bottom of the League and new Whipping Boys are ........ Dunstable.

General Discussion / Penalties -Do We Rely Too Much On Them?
« on: December 04, 2017, 11:09:40 AM »
Ten Penalties this season (Michael Clunan 9 plus 1 from Cameron Norman in the League Cup).

9 penalties out of 44goals in the League = 20.45% - that, to me appears very high.

However, as said in other Posts, if you have got the ball into the box there is every chance of scoring or being fouled.

General Discussion / King's Lynn v Hereford- Saturday 25 November 2017
« on: November 12, 2017, 05:35:43 PM »
Lynn will have to wait to see if our home game against Hereford will go ahead on Saturday 25th November after yesterday’s 0-0 draw with Potters Bar. The Bulls travel to Hertfordshire for the FA Trophy replay on Tuesday evening. The replay means that the scheduled league game Hereford vs Stratford has now been postponed.

General Discussion / The New Season Starts Soon
« on: August 05, 2017, 08:21:13 PM »
Well thats the "Friendlies" over with - Played 7, Won 5, Drawn 1, Lost 1.

Goals For 20 - Goals Against 9

Mettam 4, Parker 3, Siddons 3, Hawkins 2, Hilliard 2. Others 5, Own Goals 1.

We seem to have players who know where the net is and can hit it. I would be happy with that as a start to the first 7 league games. Keep it up lads!

General Discussion / Hereford to Win the League?
« on: July 28, 2017, 09:18:19 PM »
Lots of talk about Hereford being favourites to win the League.

However, they put 11 players on the pitch with 3 Reserves - Same as every other team they play.

Win some, Lose, some, Draw some.

We have the makings of a good squad and with a consistent run, injury free and less back-chat from certain players (Michael Clunan!) we can keep down the senseless Yellow Cards leading to a settled team and good results.

Back to Fortress Walks for this season!  :comeon: :comeon: :scarf: :scarf: :comeon: :comeon: :cup2:

Footy Fix is back on.

However, how is the pitch with all this rain?   :rain:   :glum:
Will it be fit for tonight?   :dontknow:

General Discussion / 2017 - 2018 Fixtures
« on: July 10, 2017, 05:24:52 PM »
When are we likely to know the 2017/18 Fixture List?

General Discussion / Final Eight Games
« on: March 12, 2017, 04:45:11 PM »
In our final eight games, 5 home and 3 away, we are playing 5 teams that we have already beaten, 2 drawn and St Neots who beat us 5-2.

So, we have a possible 5 doubles to join our first double of the season achieved against Cinderford.

Can we complete the double against Frome, Basingstoke and Chesham at Home and Slough and St Ives Away?

Can we improve on our draws against Dunstable (0-0) and Dorchester (3-3) and the heavy defeat against St Neots?

Which game/s does Pedro miss after his RED card?

General Discussion / Suspensions Looming?
« on: February 15, 2017, 03:20:40 PM »
Suspensions are in the offing - Who has got Yellow's totting up at present? I bet Michael Clunan is getting close, what about Quigs?
