General Discussion / What's Happening in the Dressing Room?
« on: October 12, 2016, 06:25:42 PM »
In the past there have been rumours of disruptive personalities in the Dressing Room - Danny Gay and last season Kern Miller.

Is someone in there causing problems? Did Neil Fryatt have issues in this department that tipped the balance in his decision to leave.

Leon Mettam does not appear to be a leader - shouts at others a lot but it needs a midfield/full back to general the team, leaving Metts to concentrate on his striker role.

General Discussion / New Season's Crowd Support.
« on: July 05, 2016, 04:28:41 PM »
As the majority of East Anglian's are descended from the Vikings maybe King's Lynn Town FC should adopt the Icelandic "Viking Clap" to cheer on the team in the coming season. Southern Premier League watch out - the Vikings are coming.

Ooo,  :comeon:  Ooo,    :comeon:   Ooo,    :comeon:   Ooo, Ooo, Ooo Ooo!

General Discussion / Cambridge City to Get New Ground?
« on: March 16, 2016, 07:19:37 PM »
Cambridge City's plans to move into a new 3,000 capacity stadium at Sawston have been given the green light by one of the country's top judges - who dismissed a legal challenge to the plan at London's High Court this morning.

Despite what he described as the "spirited arguments" of planning barrister Zack Simons, Mr Justice Jay refused to tear up planning permission for the stadium.

Cambridge City bosses hope the stadium would secure the future of the club. City is currently sharing St Ives Town's ground and planning permission was granted by South Cambs' planning committee in June last year.

Mr Simons was representing local woman Karen Oakley. Ms Oakley claims that local council failed to explain why it gave its approval to build it on land which is in the Green Belt.

At a hearing earlier this month, Mr Simons said that South Cambridgeshire District Council's planning officer was firmly against the proposal to build a new stadium for the Southern League Premier Division side in the Green Belt, and gave thorough reasons why it was "inappropriate".

But he said that when the planning committee rejected that advice, it gave no reasons explaining its decision.

Delays resulting from these legal proceedings mean it is now unlikely to be ready until a year from now at the earliest, according to club chairman Kevin Satchell.

What chance that this game will go ahead after all the recent rain and the pitch cut up during the Norfolk Senior Cup game on Tuesday?

Will the pitch be playable?

General Discussion / Redditch Play Suspended Players in Game v St Neots?
« on: February 27, 2016, 10:33:31 AM »
Taken from Southern League Facebook Page - In their 3 1 win at St. Neots last Saturday Redditch played Jim Mutton & Jazz Luckie (who scored), both players are listed as suspended at the time by the FA. If confirmed they will lose the 3 points plus whatever other punishment is added to it. Doesn't really help St. Neots of course who should have played a different & possibly weaker side.

Thoughts?

General Discussion / King's Lynn Town v Cirencester Town Saturday 23rd
« on: January 23, 2016, 08:46:59 AM »
With all the rain recently will there be a pitch inspection early? It would be a shame if the game was postponed but Cirencester should be given as much information as possible as soon as possible.

« on: October 27, 2015, 10:14:37 PM »
Highlights and Interviews are now on the "other" Forum on the "Official Club Website. When did this arrangement happe?  :dontknow: :dontknow:

Never mind, I am not adverse to visiting the "other" place, now and again but a pity that there was no announcement made that the other channel had taken over this programme.

Anyone in two minds about attending this match should come along and see what promises to be a great game if there is a repeat of the game at Histon on Tuesday 20 October.

What a crack of a game! I am so glad I went, it was one of the best games for all out commitment by both teams.
