General Discussion / Clubs in Crisis Article in Daily Mail
« on: March 01, 2021, 07:14:44 AM »
Stephen Cleeve mentioned that a reporter from the Daily Mail was at The Walks for the King's Lynn v Weymouth game and an article on the Crisis of playing on would be in Monday's DM. Not much new apart from a possibility of still playing Notts County on Tuesday.

Pandemic has put us in this position nothing else , but then again when you got a supporters trust with supporters money not helping club they should hang their heads with shame , it’s common knowledge that those at the helm of the trust only have on interest and that’s gaining control of the club , they are not supporters only leeches

Anyone got any inside information on who is injured etc. amongst the Team?

Is it just fitness that stops player's availability or could it be that "time off work" causes us selection problems, especially midweek.

I am thinking mainly of Ross Barrows who really should at least be on the bench. Aaron Jones has reclaimed his RB position but I feel that Barrows deserves to be in the Team.

Let's see what Tuesday evening brings Away at Chesterfield,

General Discussion / Re: Eastleigh away. Tues night
« on: January 20, 2021, 09:16:24 AM »
Very difficult playing conditions at Eastleigh (wind, rain and slippery ground) caused problems for both teams (obviously). The "dubious" penalty and resulting scoreline was the difference between the two teams at the end of a scrappy game. Winning Ugly and a welcome 3points. I think Alex Kiwomya's body was in the area when he was fouled with contact point outside.  :dontknow:

Aaron Jones was lucky to still be on the pitch at the end and could easily seen a 2nd  :yellow card: but methinks the Ref took into account conditions and gave Aaron a "final verbal warning" when he could have given  :yellow card: :yellow card: :red card: late on.

Michael Gash was again immense up front and back in defence at corners. The defence is so much stronger now with Kyle Callum-McFadden in control. Archie Mair is doing a great job now he has a defence he can rely on.

Adam Marriott is, I think, short on game time. But is he not fully recovered  :dontknow: Nice to see him start rather than warm the bench for 60-70minutes. Was Ryan Jarvis playing further up Midfield  :dontknow:

All in all the team deserved the 3points on a 4hour+, each-way, trip on a filthy night mid-week.

By the way, Referee was pretty good - well done Sir.

That was what Stephen Cleeve said on the live commentary. Will be out for the Altrincham game as well.

Did he actually say it was Covid?

Yes, quite clearly stated Aaron Jones out with COVID.

I am afraid you cannot govern people who delibrately go out of their way to break the rules. Look at the number of  fines issued last night.

Should spray them with dye and that would identify them as COVIDIOTS so people can avoid them.

Unfortunately the Government seems to have gone out of their way to avoid Naming and Shaming them and referring to them as "the significant minority who cannot follow the rules".

Bedford players are isolating and being tested. Bedford are in touch with Public Health England and are awaiting COVID Test results to see if they can go ahead with Alfreton game on Saturday. No mention of liaison with KLTFC.

A "Creature of Habit" (standing in the same spot for 20years). Has nothing changed over all that time?

I suggest you write a strong letter to The Chairman to complain and get the offending gantries moved  :laughcry: I had to move all of TWO seats from my normal (Season Ticket Holder) seat in the Main Stands and the view was awful  :laughcry: -

However, I sympathise with you about paying cash for refreshments.

Being slightly disabled (on crutches) I approached the Refreshment Cabin and had to climb 4 - 5 steps to reach the level of the serving hatch. Only to find I had reached the Dispensing Hatch, not the Ordering Hatch. That meant that I would have to go back down 4 - 5 (quite steep) steps and go around to another 4 - 5 steps to order.

There was no Sign to inform people of which and what happened at each Hatch.

The Ladies in the Cabin were very kind and served me at the OUT Hatch - thank you.

Well I am sorry....but you wouldnt expect your local pub to charge £10.00 a pint when they re-open just because they have been shut because of lockdown. :dontknow:

I think that would depend on who the Landlord is.  :dontknow:

More like it would depend on who the Barmaid/Barman (Bar Person  :laughcry:) is

General Discussion / STREAMING for Altrincham v KLTFC - REFUND OR CREDIT
« on: December 06, 2020, 10:16:16 AM »
For those who did buy an Altrincham FC Stream before the Postponement:

I contacted the Streaming Company (TicketCo UK Ltd) received this reply from Bill Waterson:

"Hi Michael

We offer two options: a refund or a voucher for any other stream including the rearranged match.  (this last one less attractive if you're a Linnet as your email address might suggest!).

I've got to push the button on the standard emails but I will do that this afternoon.

Thanks for the question

I have not seen any "Standard email" yet but will update this Post when I hear anything.
