General Discussion / Re: Ryan Fryatt
« on: January 30, 2020, 01:48:35 PM »
Firstly, may I say I am not a kill-joy or stingy - I have donated to 4 Pitch Squares, put £20 in the Pitch Covers and regularly buy 2 50/50 tickets and have a Season Ticket.

There seems to be a distinct lack of information about players and their injuries. Yes, we know Ryan Fryatt has been out injured for some time but hardly a mention of what happened, what the actual problem is, what treatment or operation and how he is progressing. Also what hardships he is suffering due to his injury.

Yet a bucket is to be passed around to collect donations. For what reason  :dontknow:

If we were to be given much more information and some background factors there might be more sympathy and generosity.

If someone came up to you in town and put a bucket under your nose you would want to know what its all about - I doubt you would just throw money into the pot without a reason.

On the BBC News that he has died of head injuries after assault.

Thoughts go to his family and Matlock and Alfreton FC's.

Players, Officials and Fans - take your passport if you go the Chester FC as:

"The stadium is located in the Sealand Road Industrial Estate and straddles the England-Wales border.

The pitch and three stands are in Wales (Flintshire) with the east stand in England."

With so much talent in the squad and two added Harry and Natty just could not hope to get game time or even on the bench.

Wishing both good luck for the future wherever they go.  :comeon: :comeon: :comeon:

Just have a feeling that the new lad, if selected, will score today. The gate i predict will be 3200+.

Nearly did score with a "Power" shot that was spilled and Marriott pounced for the winner.

Crowd 4019.

I note that their No7 Moke was dithering about as Ross Barrows brought the ball forward. If he had made some attempt at tackling we might not have scored. He was the one booked later for kicking the ball away and given a hard time by his Captain for his attitude.

Fences down side too low and too close. Put one behind flagpole and the other behind floodlight column. Only a couple of security staff would be needed then.

Exactly my comments on the Live Feed yesterday. The gap was only about 10ft (3metres for you younger metric measurers). There must have been 1-15 Stewards in between the two blocks of fans. However, there seemed to only be chanting and a few insults - no surges towards each other and no thrown missiles  :dontknow:

Good to see a Burger Van supplied for York fans. There were a smattering of Yorkie's in the Main Stand and banter was good.

Good morning.  I have selected the team for today, and will inform IC shortly.....  It is. Street; Barrows, McCauley, Smith, Fox;  Kelly, Richards, Henderson, Power;  Marriott, Fox.  Subs, (and certainly not least) Carey, Jones, Bastock, Payne, Limb.  Injuries permitting, of course....  This team to win 3 -1.......

Great, but Fox twice and where is Gash?  :laughcry: :laughcry: :laughcry:

Lovely bright sunny day here in West Lynn.

Looking forward to a great game and hopefully a win and increase our points lead over York City.

The bucket collection for frost/rain covers should be going round today people, Chuck a bit of change in there, could easily get to the target today and have them on order tomorrow!

And more 50/50 Sellers  :laughcry: :laughcry: :laughcry:

The next target must be to get Adam Marriott to commit for at least another season with us. However, that may depend on how the season ends for Lynn - promotion through winning the League or via the Play-Offs.

:bus: :bus: What a fantastic hgjvvc6 (oops, the cat has just walked over the keyboard) journey we are on  :dirtbike:  :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

Take your point, KES, about the likes of Pep and the advantage he has with his standard of players.  Without that level, as you say, you would want a structure to try to nullify superior opponents.  Where we perhaps differ is that I believe there are only about 3 positions that are more stationary in such an organised set-up - the GK and 2 CHs.  The rest of the plan would be simply about numbers - all back behind the ball, or several flood forward when the opportunity arises.  Anyway, all opinions, and good to talk...

What you are talking about is in my Tag Line:

"No Plan Survives First Contact With the Opposition - Be Ready to Change Your Plan."

Other good Military Advice:

"Time spent on a Recce is rarely wasted"

"The team is only as strong as its weakest player."

"If your attack is going really well - It's an ambush." (Opposition attacks on the break.)
