... and back to the Thread - Kidderminster Harriers Away tonight.

Lynn will be struggling tonight with a few knocks picked up on Saturday against Altrincham. Also the longer term injuries and illnesses with Ryan Fryatt, Chris Smith and Harry Limb.

However, let's keep the faith and hope that a more defensive formation might bring us at least a point, if not all three. 3 - 5 - 3 Wing Backs sitting back when Midfield goes forward and vice-versa. Like to see Ryan Hawkins start or at least come on for a decent 25-30min spell. Try Hendo and Marriott up front and give Gashy a bit of a rest with, again, a 25-30min spell at the end. Richards, Carey and Stewart could all make a contribution.

Bring back a point at least.  :scarf: :scarf: :comeon: :comeon: :comeon: :scarf: :scarf:

King's Lynn Town FC needs a lot more Sponsorship in the form of a bigger name. We have a National Name in Mars - do they sponsor anything in the sporting world?

Palm Paper, Tulip, British Sugar?, Greenyard (Pinguin as was) might be approached.

Well, Ian Culverhouse  "Say's it Better When He Say's Nothing at All".

There was a bit of "Booing" at Half Time - directed at the Ref I think - but Ian Culverhouse seemed not amused according to some around me. He apparently turned and glared at the Stands.

A very good 1st Half where we should have got at least 1 or 2goals but for some great saves from Thomson their goalie (who looked as if he had eaten most of the pies). Goalie was taunted all the game with "You fat B******"

On that subject, the goalie not the pies, at the end as teams coming off their goalie made a beeline for Aaron Jones (I believe, but could have been Adam Marriott) and roughly ruffled his hair and said something. Aaron/Adam was not amused and this sparked a handbags situation. Goalie was hustled away by Stewards as players milled about - it could have got a bit nasty.

We we well on top but Michael gash had a poor game by his standards - some in the Stands called for his substitution but I suspect that other players were feeling the strain and needed resting for Tuesday more than Gashy (Ryan Jarvis, Chris Henderson). The pitch was sticky and this did not help any player's control and a few were slipping over.

Jordan Richards was, in my view, rightly given Man of the Match. He was everywhere in the midfield and his work rate and tackling were immense. Nice to see ryan Hawkins back and nearly "winning" FK's and a penalty!!!

Two more well taken goals by Adam Marriott nearly saw all 3points but an improved Altrincham in the 2nd Half scotched that with 2 equalisers. Not a classic game but, with our injury problems and small squad, a relief to get 1point.

Looking at "The Other Site" I have extracted some worrying news:

"Early team news suggests that Ryan Fryatt will again be missing , along with  Chris Smith who continues his recovery from a dislocated  elbow meaning that Rory McAuley remains Town’s only recognised centre back. Ryan Jarvis continues to receive treatment for a troublesome groin injury."

Obviously Chris's injury is more of a longer term problem, Ryan  J's original injury was a face infection but seems to have picked up a groin niggle along the way and Ryan F has still not recovered from an ankle injury (?).

Team for Saturday: Alex Street, Jones, Barrows, McAuley, Fox - Clunan, Richards, Kelly, Henderson - Gash, Marriott. Subs: Payne, Stewart, Hawkins(?) or Joeseph Taylor (11goals for Reserves) Carey, Bastock.

What news Harry Limb  :dontknow: :dontknow:

Has IC managed to get a Centre Back on loan  :dontknow: :dontknow:

Matt Hannay posted on Facebook:

"As some of you may or may not know, the Kidderminster Harriers fixture has been rearranged for next Tuesday.

Unfortunately because it is at such short notice, Mark and I have decided not to organise a minibus. Sorry to anyone hoping there would be away travel organised for this fixture".

What will this week bring in the shape of "Good News"  :dontknow:

Saturday bring us a trip Away to Kidderminster who languish near the foot of the Table with only 1 x home Win (better Away with 3 Wins). Better than Kettering who are Bottom o' 't League  :glum: :glum:  :laughcry: :laughcry: :laughcry:

Here's hoping for a Jarvis return at least.  :scarf: :scarf: :comeon: :comeon: :comeon: :scarf: :scarf:

Predictions: 3-1 Win for Lynn and a mediocre attendance of 503
