Nice little 3 min videos.  Enjoyable watch.  Toon spot on.  The media content has 100% improved since Bal joined.  I see he has arranged for a £3 discount on the Brackley game for next week.  Talk about proactive.

The use of the ‘Nest’ is that in some way connected to Norwich City ?  If so great tie up.

Betting in play, you could be right although I'd think it was to do with the fact that Linnet is a bird and the club is like a nest. Speculation maybe!

I have to say, especially compared to a couple years ago - the media side of the club has gotten so much better.

Well done to all involved

Most Managers always protect their own backs.  So a culture of blaming everything except themselves tends to be the order of the day.  They can’t blame the team because they bring the players to the Club and play them.

The idea we missed out on Sam Osbourne seems strange one.  Have we not got enough wide players in the squad?  With no strikers on the bench again yesterday surely that has to be the priority.

Go back to Culverhouse he look for locally for his signings.  Didn’t do him any harm, at this level.

I am pretty sure he lives 15 minutes away from Alfreton, so there’s your answer.

So having read the forum yesterday I got the impression that we were pretty lame to say the least.

But in the LN article Lakeland appeared to blame the pitch, names a couple of players, bewails the fact that potential signings have gone elsewhere and anything else he could think of.

Nowhere does he take any blame himself 😕

Oh, I forgot the one about our location 🙄

The fans apparently escaped censure this time, but I'm sure we'll be back in the next report.

He's now starting to come across to me as delusional 😔

And I know we've been up in the playoffs for a while, until yesterday, but perhaps it says more about the opposition playing badly than us playing well. Time will tell ⏰😒

We actually played very well and I think if we put in performances like that against most teams in most games we would get a result. We had 20 shots compared to their 5. I don’t know who your sources are for performance of the game but it would indicate that your sources may have not been at the game.

It's a great deal, but I might as well cut up my season ticket for all the value I got from it. Even buying it as early bird, I'm wondering just why I bothered 😕

And please spare me the old platitudes about "supporting the club" it doesn't wash with me I'm afraid. Simple maths, at a time when people's wallets are hurting, tells me a season ticket is simply a waste of money 😔
Dick Turpin springs to mind 💸💸💸

Complain, complain, complain. “Give me something because someone else has got something” i think it’s lovely that the club are willing to make at least one game available to those who might need a small break.

I’m a season ticket holder and don’t mind the offers as hopefully it’ll attract new fans. Always the chance a club will do offers throughout the season. And it’s half term so hopefully a really good crowd 👍

To be fair, you have a choice between the £8 chips and the much cheaper ones. It’s personal choice. Nobody is making you buy £8 chips.

You’d known that if you’ve been to The Walks.  :scarf: :scarf:

A bit harsh from John H
If the guy is passionate about doing commentary and prepared to give up his time I don’t think comments like yours are very helpful. Not having to hunt around for links to be able to listen and feel involved in our club is a great asset. If John thinks he can do better put your name forward.

He’s obviously a very young Norfolk chap, injects a bit of humour and wants the team to do well. All good traits in my book but I suppose some would prefer a more mature voice, but for me as long as a commentator helps you picture the game, which I feel he does very good, that’s A-ok with me!

Definitely agree we need a goal scorer, not sure where we score from at the moment.

However, I listened to the radio commentary for the first time yesterday and thought the chap was actually very good, knowledgeable and easy to listen to. Personal preference i suppose!  :scarf: :scarf:

Rather frustrating to have the information from Oxford before we could get our xxxx together 😾

As much as I appreciate the improvement of some news, rather than none, it still makes us look pretty amateurish. Buck stops with Cleeve or whoever the latest puppet master is, to get the news to the media guy/gal.

With social media being "instant" these days, the back of house needs to get with it.

Many clubs at this level or below seem to have things sorted for match days and get entertainment revenue from social events to bolster the funds.

What the management doesn't seem to get is that they can't keep coming to supporters for more money for this or that. They need to grab some cash from outside the club as well. But I won't hold my breath on that one...🙄

Lynn announced it at the exact same time as Oxford?

I was at the match and I don't believe that the gate was anywhere near that figure, and neither did the crowd. The chap I sit near to and I regularly try to guess the attendance. We're usually not far off. This time I said 300 and he said 450. A long way off and we just looked at each other and laughed. So did most of the people sitting around us.

But, a genuine question, what would be the purpose of inflating the attendance ?

Kieran

Can I just ask a question? After a win, as opposed to being positive or happy, why do you decide to accuse the club of artificially inflating numbers which do not have any benefits anyway?

I’d also ask you, were you really there and would you consider yourself a fan? I know what 300 fans look like and it definitely wasn’t 300.

Why is it so hard to be happy about the team?

 :scarf: :dontknow:

Hi Kieran. Many thanks for your insightful and accusatory input.

Despite the waste of my time I will address your comments on my post:

I'm not "accusing" the club of anything. In fact I didn't mention the club at all when I asked a question regarding the possible purpose of inflating attendance numbers. It was a genuine question and you appear to be the only one who has tried to make something else from it.

I was both amused and entertained by the seemingly specious number given out for the attendance. Nothing more sinister than that.

I'm always in transports of delight, nay experience positive delirium, with a win, but I'm struggling to work out why attendance numbers and my ecstasy or otherwise are related to each other. They would appear to be mutually exclusive.

How dare you question whether I was "actually there" ? How dare you question whether I would consider that I was a "fan" ? What gives you the right to thereby imply that I'm a liar ?

I will be sending your libelous and defamatory babblings to my solicitor as I see you have a history of trying to bully and/or insult other posters. You go quiet when you're called out or the answers given exceed two syllables. I'm uncertain whether to consider you an amoeba or just detritus...

Now be a good boy and put your toys back in your pram. I'm sure it's way past your afternoon nap time.

Quinn, thank you for your reply.

That escalated quickly. I asked a couple of questions and suddenly I'm starring in the next courtroom drama on ITV.

If being puzzled at someone guessing 300 fans when it looked more like 811 makes me 'detritus,' then fair enough — I’ll proudly wear that badge (do I get a certificate too?). I must have missed the memo where being wrong about crowd sizes became a criminal offence.

For the record, I didn’t call you a liar — I asked a question. You know, one of those things people do when they want clarity, like, ‘Did you actually see it?’ It wasn’t a court summons, mate.

But listen, I’ll be sure to contact my legal team (aka. my mate Dave down the pub) to prepare for the incoming lawsuit. I’m sure they’ll be thrilled to hear I’m being sued over headcounts at a football match. 'Your Honour, we have reason to believe my client has overestimated human density.'

Anyway, I’ll leave you to your ‘transports of delight’ (lovely turn of phrase, by the way) and your impending multi-million-pound defamation case. If I’m found guilty, I’ll happily serve my time in solitary, counting imaginary crowds for company.

All the best, Kieran (Proud Member of the Amoeba Appreciation Society 🦠)

In the same way Kieran would you be happy if the Club went pop again because of the ambition that couldn’t be sustained?

SC ran out of cash to support it earlier this season and was in days of shutting the doors.

I am not shocked you dodged my question.  :dontknow:

Kieran whatever you may think about ambition how do you fund a playing staff of in excess of £1m on gates of a 1000. ? You do the math and let’s us know the answer.

There is one club in the National League that turn a profit. The fact football clubs lose money isn’t a new and fresh idea.

Would you celebrate if we got relegated?
