:dontknow: Sorry but are we not getting carried away and going around the houses re young Ben I. He has gone and was obviously not considered better than our current full backs. Only saw him play in one of the home friendlies and he struck me as being not too confident when bought on as a substitute. Maybe playing regularly for a club at a lower league will bring him on. However having been on Norwich’s books they don’t let players go if they are up to the mark.

:watching: Have to say that in the past when local players turned out for KL the football world was very different with the only non English players featuring in Divisions 1-4 were Scots,Welsh or Irish players. If you look around now there is a huge number of foreign players plying their trade even down to non league football if I am correct there are a few at KL. If you extrapolate this then there are English players who if born 50 years earlier would now be playing league football thus giving opportunities to local players if they were good enough.
The world of football has changed, attendances are down apart from the premiership there is little or no little  loyalty to the club who employs you as agents are used to chase the holy grail of the £. Gone are the days when supporters finished work on Saturday lunchtime went to the pub for a pint and a pie then onto the match as my grandparents did. My Dad spoke queuing to get into the game and standing with 3-6 thousand to watch a game at the Walks.
Nowadays we regular supporters are rather like Dinosaurs as socially we haven’t changed whereas many have deserted live football to pursue or take in other interests.
I fear for the future of local soccer.

:nilpoints: Same as last season as far as playing CA. Why do we persist in over hitting crosses and think Gold is a Jack on the beanstalk with balls coming out from our half, there was also a lack of support at times for him. We lacked control in midfield whilst CA strutted around, they outplayed us and had some clear chances to win 5-0. This is not playoff more like just keeping above the relegation battle.

:scarf:hope the other clubs in this league don’t adopt this style of play too much. We weren’t able to deal with it last season and got caught out.  M

:scarf: We might yet see “Joe”. Forgetting fans anti bias in some quarters, historically he has put some better wheels in motion e.g. the development of local players. As he is the owner of the club I don’t see why he had to disclose any business affairs as is greatly discussed on the forum. On screen he comes across as someone who wants to succeed with the club and needs us and a few more fans to back the club this season.

:scarf: No Jonny Margetts for Saturday? Why ,injured or moved on. This is not a good statement without a reason given. There is no news of him leaving so imho this sentence should have been redacted to stop rumours possible false starting.

:scarf: If last night's display was what we are going to see at the Walks this season roll it on. Mr Lakeland has begun to show his talent and deserves thanks for our survival last season as we were in dire straits and congratulations on his signings. Hopefully, M Hill is correct and also the “unfaithful fans” will return to the fold
