General Discussion / Re: Cully on budget.
November 17, 2025, 04:01:59 PM
:scarf: Once again the doom clouds float over the walks both financially and for the football side. Looking at it can't ever see the club's financial future improving unless someone doesn't mind donating a million or two!
Being pessimistic will we see the season through and fold? Or become a phoenix club again playing at a level which is sensible for the financial support they receive?

 :scarf: I agree.
Think the taxman will be visiting a few clubs this year that owe them money, especially as the Robber Reeves wants more than her fair share!

:scarf:  1800 per week = 94k plus add on costs probably ends up being 114k per annum .
Squad of 20 plus others wage bill nearly 3 million.
If 25 home games with £20 per entrant you need 6,000 entrants per game, even EFL teams will fold eventually paying that!

:scarf: MG hasn't sparkled recently when carrying an injury  but that isn't totally it so I believe.

:scarf: If you look at MG's performance this season he was unstoppable in the first month of the season using his pace. Teams wise up quickly and they soon realised how to stop him! More often than not he kept being caught
offside or had 3 players surrounding him.
Wish him well but young DK could be the answer once he starts scoring as he showed he can be a handful last Tuesday night.

:scarf: see why they are struggling now. Ambition costs as we are well aware.

:scarf: Perhaps the dugouts were changed to stop the over the top and racist comments that the opposition bench had to endure each match. It appears to have worked as that group are a lot quieter now except for one ***** ******* shout!

:scarf: I don't know what was said at half-time it certainly worked. Swift movement and good interplay we should have had 2 or 3 more goals. Thought Goldie had one of his best halves it shows when he gets good service instead of chasing hoofed clearances.
Must not get carried away as the opposition were not the best!

Is that another young academy player with talent allowed to slip the net?

Hope Joe isn't dumped and treated fairly it wasn't his fault that JR left us in the lurch.
It will be interesting to see if we improve our results without some players imported or exported under the new regime. :scarf:

Cully  and Bastock seems on the cards. I hope that Joe is treated fairly in this debacle.
