Hmm can’t understand the call for Setchell after seeing his teams play at the walks last couple of seasons I would rather rip up my season ticket than watch his kick and rush tactics.
Need a manager who has vision reliable contacts and motivational skills.

Can’t see it happening unless we have some returnees from injuries.

Not a lot better today, no midfield creating openings injuries again I expect, poor service for the forwards their goalie called on twice to make save if my memory serves me correct and a manager with non stop verbal d. . Sinking ship come to mind no wonder the crowds are dropping. Then on top of that the chairman taking to task people who stand up to him. Beginning to think big mistake buying a season ticket.

Should the management held his registration until a club approached KLTFC to take on OS at least the Widdler might hav3 stumped up more £.

:Sherlock: mm pre season friendlies don’t mean a thing we can only make a guesstimate type judgement after 5 or 6 games. Let’s not be too pessimistic after all apart from the biggest club going for broke what have the rest done in this division.

:glum: Sad news however when our rivals are getting players in, on the face of it  aren’t we missing the boat for players?
With our ace centre half for clearing corners gone how many goals will we concede in that department?
Mid table or relegation battle looks likely.😰

IMHO ZW was like a nuisance fly on the pitch when he came on and the lacklustre display by Mr Keller against Lowestoft made me wander why he was recruited. If they are replaced hopefully it will be by 2 stronger players who can contribute more to the team.

Manager back next week from holiday, hope his wish list was given to SC beforehand or will we be getting the “handouts from behind the door”?

Afraid there other costs not not been included by the above reply, flood lights, hire of Ely training facility, travel to away games, Insurance requirements , I would think there is also a considerable sum paying players mileage from their homes to Ely and the Walks plus wages for Manager, trainer/ coach, physios etc. Also £400 a week works out at a salary of £20800 before stoppages which I expect is a lot less than a full time footballer would expect.
Considering the average gate this season is probably 200 or so less I am just illustrating that financially the club is struggling. Ergo unless SC has a magic solution don’t expect miracles on the playing field for the forthcoming season.
