Quigley's ban
« on: September 03, 2016, 10:19:29 AM »
So after his sending off at Frome last Saturday, Quigs has been given a three game ban. Another joke of a decision which the referee felt the need to try to have to justify afterwards.

On the FA website it says the following on their "suspensions" page:
Clubs at Step 2 and below: Red cards in first team competitive matches result in suspensions commencing on the 14th day following the match in which the player was sent off. Red cards in non-first team matches will be processed by the County Association to which the Club is affiliated.

However the suspensions page also has both Quigley's (and the Frome player who was sent off with him) serving 3 game bans effective from today (so only 7 days after the offence as opposed to 14).

So have the rules changed or have the FA got it wrong?

The FA website leaves much to be desired. You can't drill into Lynn's record on the Fair Play League - I reported it as a fault two seasons ago.
