Lynn's boss confirms that the club are looking to loan out Leon Mettam after an incident. The striker has 15 months of his contract to run.

Setch probably tried to chuck him under the bus like he did with Sands to save his own skin again. Yet another 'class' striker we've signed who hasn't worked out, wonder why this keeps happening?!!  :stir:

The word coming out from a person involved at the club is there was no problem between Setch and Mettam more Mettam and another person at the club.

Hardly sending out the right message to parents thinking of letting their off spring get involved with the club. Whatever must Ray Hall think to all or was he not around this week.  Can't see Delia getting involved like that at Norwich

Who do we think the "other person" is??

All speculation of course, but the other person is surely a big character within the club for it to be Metts that is potentially on his way

Might account for why Setch was so quiet today. Losing a player and having no control over the matter.

More like the fact we were getting embarrassed 6-1 at home by a side below us

Seem to recall Setch was in for Matt Blake from Norwich Utd in the summer but he opted to join Leiston instead of us. We ended up with Sands/ Mettam.  If you check the records you will Blake has notched 33 times this season so far at Step 3. Thems the margins between success and failure. I wonder where those 33 goals would have taken us ?

obviously blake has had better service from his team mates than mettam has.

Agree about the service to Mettam.

This is a strange one for me.

If Metts is a "bad apple" then he needs to be on his way.

But we've only heard Setch's side of the story.

Out of all of our squad, if we needed a goal, who would inspire you the most?? Obvious answer is Metts.

As Marcus and Stan have alluded to -he hasn't had that much service all season - you only have to look on Youtube to see what he can do if he's given the service.

There does not appear to be any player/s at Lynn who have any rapport/understanding with Leon Mettam. No service - No goals. Simples.

Answer: Metts leaves and we look for another striker. Or do we already have that player at Lynn? Edge? Why not try Jacek? Can Hawkins fill the role?

We need 2/3 player who gell and can build an understanding of what each other can or are going to do. A sixth sense between them.

Bet there are numerous clubs queuing up to take him without us having to subsidise his wages........not!

I think there will be a queue of Clubs  looking to take him on the cheap and Setch having to fund the balance from his budget.   One of the downsides of getting an experienced old hand in on a contract.

Even when a club is made of aware of his past indiscretions  plenty will take him on.   The likes of Ryan Robbins have never found it hard to find a new Club.   Setch dodged a real bullet with that one.
