Andrew Clucas ‏@Andrew_Clucas

Am told that @spaldingunited have sealed a season-long loan deal for @officialKLtown striker Leon Mettam tonight. Big deal for Tulips #npl

He wasn't at Merthyr.

Would not surprise me one bit were he to score a hatful at that level which would be good as they might then want to sign him?

I wonder what Sam Mulready is doing since leaving St Neots? He would IMO be at least Mettam's equal and is 'one of ours'!!

According to the Stamford forum  Spalding are paying £300 of Mettam's £450 a week wages.
Interesting that Kern Miler has moved to Spalding - I thought the story was that he and Metts didn't get on?

Spoke with the chairman today at Kings Langley and he said that Spalding were paying a "chunk" of Metts wages.

He didn't elaborate on any incident that did or didn't happen at Lynn with Metts.

He did say though that Metts (off the pitch) is a really nice lad but that so far things just haven't worked out -  for whatever reason.

Personally I don't care if a player is nice, not nice, or whatever.......as long as they put in a shift week in, week out, then they'll do for me.

I think someone like Metts could have made a difference today in the last 15 minutes when we were really on top

Time to move it to 'Former Linnets'.

I was at the Spalding game. Although he didn't score he made some nice touches, as you expect at this level. Interestingly Kern Millar was in the side as well

Could be on his travels again, the Spalding manager has left for Gainsborough perhaps he will follow and they might like to sign him?

Thought he would never play another game for Lynn.
