Not too far away

A win against Cambridge City would lift us to 11th in the table ( at least for 24 hours).
Eight or nine more goals ( spread out at 1 per game in some of the drawn games) would have put us round and about the play offs! We have the most drawn games of any step 2 or 3 teams. The missing ingredient a player who can " Look after the ball, know when to use it, when to drop into midfield."( The Chippenham manager describing one of his forwards)... And how to score!

It is a recurring theme but yes, just a few of those draws converted into 3 points could well have seen us in and around the play off places...........That elusive 20 to 30 goal striker seems as remote as ever but maybe a compromise - not necessarily a prolific out and out goal scorer but a striker in the Dunkley (Gregg Smith) mould who could hold the ball up and bring others into play?

It is all about fine margins, Ricky Miller at Dover is the top 'Conference' scorer over the last few seasons and I believe not that long ago there was just the possiblity that we might have signed him..when he was with Stamford?

We don't seem to be able to get a striker to do the business for us.   Mettam and Sands are both goal scorers and we couldn't get one of them going.
