So culverhouse has released Danny setchell ,that's not a footballing decision that's a personal one and all we have heard about is recruiting young local players

Didn't Setch make it known certain reserve players wouldn't play for the 1st team whilst he was manager?? What's the difference?

Absolutely no difference and being brutally honest Danny isn't good enough for the first team, end of.
At the end of the day you now have to ask where does leave Backie's future at the club?
Backie has always praised his group of reserve team players so why has he not stood up to Culverhouse's decision and told him that he doesn't agree with it and secondly where does it leave him as reserve team manager when he has been undermined by the first team manager?
Backie has always been honest with the fans when it comes to the major issues at the club, so over to you know Backie.....
being brutally honest the majority of the reserves are not good enough for the first team ,so enlighten us you actually heard setchell say certain player would not play for the first team and you heard it direct out of his mouth ,or you creating a rumour

A surprise, although I suppose it shouldn't be.

Didn't Backie stand up to Setch when he wanted to get rid of players previously, like James Spittle House, so why hasn't he done it this time?

Perhaps he knew Setch well enough to know he wouldn't get sacked for standing up to him but IC is a different matter.

Is there not a possibility that Backie might agree with the decision?

Was under the Impression the lad Bird and Spittlehouse frozen out by Setch. Besides the point though as why on earth would you release a youth/reserve team player at the age of 18?!? And how can you be released if your not on a contract?!?! Strange happenings.

How do we know or not if Danny's attitude and feeling towards the manor of which his dad left the club forced this decision. The lad won't of been happy with it and he is known to have a bit of an attitude problem at times so who knows if he was turning up to matches slagging the new manager and the chairman off to other players etc.........he is a youngster after all. Good luck to him though.

Have to say I've seen some good potential in Danny even though his attitude sucked at times. However I did hear that Setch has a job in the pipeline so maybe Danny will be joining him.

Never heard of "the enemy from within" loopy? I'm obviously not saying it as a matter of fact. But could ne one completely viable explanation. It's pretty obvious you can't be objective to the whole situation of the last couple of weeks and also pretty obvious where your loyalties lay, which of course is your prerogative.
