Indeed the form has dipped since the Norwich boys arrived, and now the news one has gone , clearly the whole thing was a mistake novice Chairman ans Manager so lets hope the pair of them learn very quickly if Holt's wages are now available lets see a good defender come in someone with enough experience to be a defensive leader on the pitch , getting player in the correct places and working as a unit. What a ridiculous month.

"Barrow AFC can confirm that we approached Kings Lynn Town regarding the availability of Grant Holt.
Conversations have taken place between our manager Ady Pennock and the Kings Lynn management team, as well as at board room level.
However, no terms have been agreed and no deal has been signed for him to join us.
We look forward to speaking to Grant at the end of the mandatory notice period"

If all this is a stunt to get funds from Barrow then it is disgusting and disrespectful to all, the fans are now watching a different team made of the same players who started the season well until this ridiculous saga emerged. Conclusion is the club, on the ground, is being run by a coach who cannot manage anything. What is going on in the "brains" upstairs, is more of a worry. Until the announcement, Grant Holt and this episode were actually starting to reduce the gates and the playing ability of the team.

Whilst I do agree that the Holt/Lappin signings have unsettled the side - I wasn't at the game yesterday but understand that an in form Hawkins was dropped, presumably to accommodate a, so far, ineffective Lappin - Lynn's performances were beginning to be a worry before they arrived; the signings do appear to have made things worse, however.
They way the side were set up at the beginning of the season worked extremely well and that formation merely needed tinkering with. We have looked vulnerable in the centre-back positions when Gaughran has played there and our front two hasn't worked as well as it should. I know that Siddons and Gash don't look ideally matched as a front two but I would have liked to have seen that pairing given a chance at least. I don't know what formation and tactics were used yesterday - and I would be interested if someone would share that info and their views on players' performances on here.

Not at all ...coaching and Managing are 2 very different things..if he is just a coach then call him that,  removing him from the disruption caused recently at the Football club by naive Management.

Lynn News:

Grant Holt’s move from King’s Lynn Town to Barrow has been confirmed by the Cumbrian club today (Thursday). In a statement on its website, the National League outfit said the former Norwich City frontman had taken up a player-coach role under new boss Ady Pennock. The 36-year-old trained with his new teammates today, ahead of their home game against Macclesfield Town on Saturday. The confirmation of Holt’s return to the club he played for in two spells between 2001 and 2003 comes five days after the Linnets first revealed he had left them. Club chairman Stephen Cleeve claimed Barrow had not behaved properly in their pursuit of Holt, though the Holker Street club insisted they had not done a deal at that point.
