Maximum respect @MerthyrTownFC - you may have lost 13-1 @cheshamutdfc but at least you turned up, and the whole ground celebrated your goal at 13-0 down. Special mention for 15-year-old keeper Ed Hewitson - sensational bottle

Shame to see any club in trouble. All credit to those young lads who despite being 13-0 down had the spirit to keep at it and grabbed a consolation.

They have started a just giving page on Facebook to raise funds, target is £5000, I just hope if they reach the target that they get players loyal to the shirt and not the pay packet?  :dontknow:

Not a great advert for being a "Fan Owned Club".

At least they have admitted they are in trouble, and made public the problems they are having? :dontknow:

All credit to them for getting it in the open and trying to get £5000. I wonder how many clubs are in the same situation but don't tell the fans how big their debts actually  are. I would imagine there are a lot of clubs in big trouble, usually when one  comes clean several do.

Spare a thought or a few quid for Skelmersdale as well.  As least Merthyr  still have a ground to call their own.

I thought this might happen  just goes to show what state the amateur game is in . I remember them beating us 6 -1 in that shield game after  we last won the league.
