Top of league, still.
« on: November 26, 2017, 08:54:41 AM »
As BJORK might sing  It's oh so quiet on here.
Ok so clubs have games in hand but at least we have got our points and are top of the league so why oh why is everyone so quiet.
Is it because there is nothing to moan about, can't believe that as some will always find something.
IC is doing a great job and like or dislike the chairman you cannot say he hasn't turned the club around from where it was last year mid  season.
So come on all you true linnets give the club & players the encouragement they deserve and even you moaners must agree top of the league is something to shout about.

Might give us more confidence if we had someone who knows where the goal is? :dontknow:

On the pitch there is nothing to moan about,top of the league and good crowds to see it, off the pitch? who knows cross the white line coming off the pitch is an unknown desert of shifting sands.

How can you say there is nothing to moan about on the pitch when we go to a team languishing at the bottom of the table and come back lucky to draw? King's Langley were celebrating taking a point off of the league leaders and very nearly snatched all three!!  :banghead; :banghead; :banghead;

Well let's be fair, they all had a nice rest Tuesday night and couldn't even grind out a win at against a team sitting in the bottom four, won only three games and let in 40 goals?  If it had been 0-0 against a top team it wouldn't be so bad!

Think it was Abraham Lincoln, Hill. Not sure how much he knew about Football though.

it is against teams like Kings Langley we should be racking up points,not dropping them. Just remember Coalville were 18 pints ahead at Christmas,and we overhauled them!

A good report and great to see Tom Ward recognised for his contribution. However, about time for our forwards to start scoring goals. We seem to rely upon Clunan's penalties, long range shots from Hawkins and Norman plus the occasional Gash goal.Not a lot else in the offering and the play-offs to look forward to at best, which will be an improvement upon last season!

We are doing ok.The win at Basingstoke was a very good one considering their home record and 7 points from three away games is far from disastrous.Kings Langley are a better team than their league position suggests.I do however think Mettam is not the answer to our striker problem.Gash holds the ball up well but other than being repeatedly offside and shouting at people I don't think Mettam is contributing enough.

Disappointing as it may at first appear not beating Kings Langley, they did draw with Hereford at home on the opening game of the season. There will be plenty more surprises throughout the season. Maybe even Manchester City will drop a point or two.

Looking at Man City they can afford to drop a few points.  Have to fancy them for the Champions League as well.

Think a Point away tonight will be a decent result.

Biggleswade have only managed five goals in their last ten games. One goal tonight should be enough to bring home all three points,
