St Neots Town v King’s Lynn Town

Tuesday 5th December

Lynn look to have a tough test ahead of them when they visit St Neots Town on Tuesday looking to avenge the double inflicted on them last season. The Saints have lost just the one match in their last 14 league outings - that at home to Weymouth in mid October. This run follows the first seven games of the season which had seen just one win.

The Saints are managed by former Linnet Matt Clements and coached by another former player, David Bridges, who has also scored in their last two league outings.

Also on target on Saturday against Bishop's Stortford was debut making Nabil Shariff. The much travelled striker scored 14 goals from 18 appearances for AFC Rushden & Diamonds before moving on to Alfreton in November in a brief spell which saw him fail to score. Also making his debut on Saturday was on loan teenage striker Lewis Irwin from Northampton Town.

Another recent addition may not be lining up against Lynn. Former Arsenal and Newcastle United youngster Stefan Broccoli made his debut as a second-half substitute in the recent victory over Basingstoke but has recently had a trial at an Italian third division club.
The additions to the squad help to make up for the recent loss of Tom Meechan, recalled by parent club Hungerford, and injury to leading scorer Dylan Williams - the two had scored a total of 14 times this season for the Saints.
Lynn, unbeaten in five away games, have Michael Clunan beginning his three match suspension while Frazer Blake-Tracy could still be missing after a recent minor operation.
