Would you bet against it ?
« on: January 14, 2018, 09:26:30 AM »
Hereford go to Gosport Tuesday a win there will see them go top.  Would any one bet against them staying there till the end of the season?  Think we are playing for 2nd and a home draw in the play-offs.   Would settle for that at the start of the season and would settle for it now.

Iím still believing we can win the league and will do until the outcome of the Hereford game on the 30th. If the league is gone then we really need to finish 2nd/3rd. Do not want the team on the road for the first round against potentially Weymouth or Tiverton.

We still have 3 away games and a tricky home game before playing you boys. There is plenty of evidence so far this season, that no games can be taken for granted! Itís not over by a long chalk yet.

Hereford are the current favourites with the bookies and their position looks strong. Lynn have to play them twice and I believe that, at our best, we can beat anyone in this league, including Hereford!

Three really tough games coming up: Weymouth at home; Hitchin away; Hereford at home. If we win all three, I bet the bookies will shorten Lynn's odds and increase Hereford's.

Massive three games!

Hereford have the Southern League's current top goal scorer in John Mills: 21 goals including 5 pens. I'm glad that Lynn spread their goals around the team and don't put all their eggs in one basket.  :laughcry:

IF, as I would expect Hereford take the 3 points on offer at Gosport, then It could be a case of who, if anyone can hang on to their coat tails going forward.   They are now out of the Cups, which was always a distraction they can now totally focus on the League.

This coming Saturday Hereford go to lowly Dorchester while we have a 'biggie' at home to Weymouth.

Don't forget Slough, they could potentially be within 3 points of Hereford

For Sure Blue Moon, But  being 12 points adrift  is a big gap, despite having 3 games in hand.
