Hereford v King's Lynn - Saturday 10th March 2018
« on: March 06, 2018, 08:39:20 PM »
Not much chatting on this site about the 2nd biggest game (so far) of the Season. (Biggest was our Home game against Hereford.)

Is there any news of team fitness? Will we be taking a decent number of Subs and starting with a strong team?

If we can start the game fast and furious we could catch Hereford on the hop - their heads certainly went down when we scored our equaliser and that helped raise the crowd and galvanised the lads into believing they could win it - and they did.

I shall be at the game cheering the team on and reporting as much as I can.

Hereford march on, beating Gosport 4-0 but more important is Basingstoke hold Slough to 1-1 at Slough.

Light rain here in Hereford. Parked in multi-story opposite Edgar St ground, a short walk across and I will be there.

Just looking on the Hereford website and note that they sell Car Air Fresheners (with Bulls logo). Must need them to get rid of the smell of Bulls**t .

Is there a game?  People have been so quiet?  Do we have many going?  :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
"If a window was broken or a drain was blocked up, someone was certain to say that Grissles had come in the night and done it, and when the key of the store-shed was lost, the whole farm was convinced that Grissles had thrown it down the well. Curiously enough, they went on believing this even after

A fine win against a skillfull Hereford side. Their attacking play always looked dangerous but Lynn defence held firm. Pedro was having some trouble with high crosses which he flapped at but luckily Hereford players didn't take advantage of.

Hereford were very physical and Cameron Norman was picked out for some close marking and tackles. Ref was pretty observant and several bookings ensued. Home fans were aggrieved every time a Lynn player was chopped down, swearing we were falling over from the slightest touch. Maybe they knock other teams players over with more force than today and they were not going in so hard as usual - 🤣. 0-0 at half time. A few hearts in mouths moments in the first 45mins.

Second half was much the same but maybe Ian  :scarf: Culverhouse gave them much the same team talk as at Lynn's  Home game vs Hereford. Our first goal stunned them and the 2nd knocked them sideways. For 15mins they were not functioning and hard tackles were the order of the day as they were  :glum: .

Last 10mins plus added time was an onslaught but Lynn packed all into defence and really didn't care where the ball went as we hacked it up, left, right and hopefully forwards. Hereford fans tried to get behind them but heads were going down and it was a lost cause.

Going back into Hereford tonight to Chimichanga but without the  :scarf: as it might upset the locals :laughcry:

Enjoyed the game but not happy with the fiasco with ticket collection. Hereford website clearly stated "collect tickets at Away turnstiles". Waited there at 1400hours and then told to walk 300yards to other side of Stadium to Ticket Office. Get there and told "sorry for mix-up, tickets are at turnstiles". 300yard walk back with asthma and walking with crutch.

Not H. A. P. P. Y.

Find seat and Steward decides to stand directly in front of me - bloody good door but P*** Poor window.

Asked him to move (politely) and told he has a job to do. Tell him it's not his job to obstruct my view. Another Steward arrives and a woman official and proceed to hold conversation. Ask them to move - ignored.

Getting right P****d off.  :banghead; so shout very loudly "Get out of the way" and now told to "calm down, your getting very aggressive". Tell them I have asked politely twice to move and not getting satisfaction had to shout. Finally they move.

Prats.
