Very interesting.

or for those who like to see things graphically (with thanks to Wazzafan on the nonleaguematters.co.uk forum)

step 2 - http://goo.gl/oRDNEd
step 3 - http://goo.gl/HDFmG2

to be honest, I know SC keeps going on about promotion being crucial this season but that Central league at step 3 has a lot going for it and would certainly make balancing the budget (or living within one) a whole lot easier.

Don't forget Tony that step 3  match day Revenue could decrease by 10% because of the number of games compared to this season. I assume players salary and bonus are on a weekly basis and not a match basis.

That's true for both step 2 and 3 next season (22 teams at both levels) so Lynn are stuck with that reality.  You would hope that the majority of clubs will adjust any 'weekly wages' to reflect that?  I have no idea, but would assume any bonus payments are on a match basis already?

The A17 derby would get a big crowd in, then itd be like being back in the NPL, Chorley, FCUM, Blyth, Curxon Ashton et al.
